Re: Autumn Invitational War
Well often we don't do much, if anything, on Sunday, so we'd probably be back in DC before Monday. Are there any plans for Sunday Marauder? We can fight in the morning if people want. I had planned on doing a full 2 day war, but with everyone coming (which is great) it may be cramped to have everyo...

Re: Autumn Invitational War
I thought the exact same thing when looking at the photos. It reminds me of Paine, what with the pond and some of the terrain. I approve. But I will be out of state on the 29th, so attending isn't really an option for me unfortunately. Have fun and don't forget to take pictures! Also, wi-fi and hot...

Re: Autumn Invitational War
Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th. We can do Friday if people show up early enough as the battlefield looks like it would be good for night wars and since it is walking distance from the nephews'. There are 3 main areas of the battlefield - open pine forest with pond & trails, mixed pine and har...

Re: Autumn Invitational War
We are hosting the battle at a new site. Danny actually discovered it. We will have photos this weekend, so stay tuned. Lodging will not be at the barn. Wi-Fi and hot water will be available this time. The new battle site is an easy walk from the new lodging, so if you are worried about a rough hike...

For the price I will definitely have to try these and then compare them to the machine screws I get at the local hardware store. Thanks for posting.

Re: Autumn Invitational War
We will have the war either December 22 or December 29th. Nick and his new wife are staying with us on the weekend of the 15th, and November is too soon to get everyone involved.
I have a lot of locals that plan on coming, so someone please coordinate transportation with Alfatrooper

Re: APH Design Questions
That's weird. Pretty much any Lowes or Home Depot that I know of sells up to 6" pipe. But I've made a gun like this with 3" chambers before, and it was the most unwieldy water gun I've ever used. You definitely want to make the blaster as compact as you can. A good nozzle should still give you bett...

Re: Nerf Super Soakers for 2019
I was trying to find some Stream Machines prior to our last war but could not find any at Target or Wal Mart. I do think that guns like that have their place on battlefields like Little Creek or obviously if you are at the pool or lake. Has anybody seen any of those in their areas? *side note* While...

Re: Nerf Super Soakers for 2019
It's pretty incredible that we are discovering these so early. The Barricuda looks kind of decent. I have never used the soakzooka so I am not sure how the Hydra would be.

I'm such a lightweight that even drinking half a glass of Mike's Hard (IDK how much alcohol it has) means I can hardly stand! I think this would make the game even more amusing. But seriously, no going against what your prescriptions are saying! BTW, any chance we have Soakermore this year? Still t...

Re: Homemade pump action designs?
The nozzle below suggested by TylerK is far and away the best nozzle I have. https://i.imgur.com/UQ0XO45.jpg I purchased mine HERE . The product page shows an image of the 2-inch sweeper nozzle, but this is indeed a 6" nozzle. I know of no other non-cast, non-stepped 6" sweeper nozzles on the marke...

Re: A New Twist on CTF - Introducing CTB
Well, that's it, I'm in. There are plenty of "beer runs," and other games so I don't see why this wouldn't work. Also reminds me of the event that I had theorized called a "smashed soakfest."

Roll call. Who all wants to do another war in the next few months? Let's use this topic to discuss planning our next event - location, date, what you want to do, etc. September: weekends of the 22 and 29 October: weekends of the 6, 20, 27 November: weekends of the 10, 17, 24 December: weekends of th...

Re: Homemade pump action designs?
I wonder if having a larger vinyl tube would increase the range. I imagine it is the small diameter of the intake tube that is limiting your range. Except, wait, that brass piece that it connects to is the same size, so IDK.

Re: CPS 2000 vs 2500 questions
If the problem is the check valve, there seems to be little that you can do. It might be sluggish due to the spring inside losing elasticity, so it would require a greater force to open (more force needed to compress it the same amount). I don't think anyone has tried to replace the springs inside ...

I am very interested in seeing what kind of valve the Spyra uses. I am guessing it uses some kind of ball valve, but details still vary from one ball valve to another.

Re: CPS 2000 vs 2500 questions
If you can't fix the issue you can always swap out most of the internals for those of a 2500. They are compatible. The 2000's nozzle is the primary reason its more powerful. I mean, the original PCs were more powerful, but the primary factor is the nozzle. After Hydropocalypse I ended up swapping ou...
