Re: HOG

Can someone just tell David to ether come on here or join Discord to talk? I'm really busy right now and don't want to worry about another social media thing.

Re: HOG

David still doesn't have a phone, so I have no way of contacting him right now. I assume he needs a ride if he is going to come, but I can't coordinate with him!

Re: Soakemore 2018 planning thread

The issue with July is that the weather isn't very cooperative. We could try to have it in July though, and so long as no one is flying in,or anything, call it off if it is going to be in the 90s.

How does July 28th (the weekend after HOG) sound to everyone?

Re: Soakemore 2018 planning thread

If we don't use the island, that could simplify things a bit but then I need to find another location. I just got back from exploring Seneca regional park and it might work. A little more hilly then I would like, but less so then most, and it had usable underbrush in parts of it. I also saw a few ot...

Re: HOG

So are we shuttling people in because there is nowhere to park at this place? Who's doing the shuttling and how far a walk is it from the drop off?

Re: HOG

I am working at a summer camp, it is only a temp position, hence no time off. I am an Inclusion Counselor too, so I work one on one with the same special needs kid every day, making it difficult for them to find a qualified sub.

Re: Soakemore 2018 planning thread

August 4th doesn't work for me ether, lol! I have to reserve at least a month in advance, and I'd still need to check if anyone else has reserved the island too. The island is the best place around me to fight, but setting it up is finicky. Course if we had it mid-week it is a lot easier, but I assu...

Soakemore 2018 planning thread

OK, so I would really like to try and make this happen. I am thinking of having it sometime in August or September, but early October might work. What dates are people available at? Oh, and the island has wierd rules about hosting large parties, weekends are limited to odd numbered days. I assume we...

Re: HOG

The 21st should work for me. What time do we need to get there on Friday though? I am working until 4pm this summer, and I can't get any time off, so even if I am really lucky with traffic, I doubt I can get there before 11pm, it would likely be 12 or a little later.

Re: HOG

I would prefer a date other than July 7th, that is when my uncle is having the big fireworks show at his farm. If that is the only time that works for everyone else, I can miss the show, I'd just rather not. The only date that really doesn't work for me is August 4th, as that is the LEGO con, and I ...

Re: HOG

Well I still haven't heard from David, he still doesn't have a phone, and hasn't replied to my PM on the board.
According to DX though, David posted on facebook that he is confermed for Endwar, the HVZ Nerf event next weekend. So it looks like David is no longer coming to HOG ether.

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

The only hit I remember being in dispute was between myself and DX. He thought he had shot me, I didn't feel anything, then Marauder got me during our argument. That is actually the second time Marauder has gotten me while in a hit dispute with DX, and that was under the old rules, so this really wa...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Heat is great for big soakfests, not so great for games where the objective is not to get hit. Idealy I don't want it to be over 70 degrees, maybe 75 if it's not humid at all. Above that works, but is rather uncomfortable for me. I was hardly able to function at this war, 90 is just too hot. Even du...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

I certainly agree the battle was great, I was surprised we did as well as we did. While we may have been a little slow maneuvering sometimes, it was well coordinated. Rarely did I have to tell teammates to spread out when walking, and they did a good job forming battle lines when we engaged. I also ...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Of course I can't laugh too hard because I have issues with my diet as well. But while I don't always eat super healthy foods, at least I stay away from junk. I heard somewhere that more than half the population of the US is overweight. That is absolutely incredulous. Well yeah, the IIHS (Insurance...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Hydrate a bunch durring a 6-7 hour car trip? That sounds like a good idea! What could go wrong? Sarcasm aside, thanks for the advice on things, might not be possible this war, but useful knowledge for my next local one. Also I realize one of my friends actually has a Go-Pro, I will try to inquire ab...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

I'm kind of the opposite of SEAL, most the people I work best with are the not so good players, lol! I haven't had much luck with local friends, one says there's a small chance he can come but probably can't, two others have exams the following Monday, and the rest aren't even worth asking. And I ha...
