^ true, too large a hole might allow the PC to actually come through, but I believe that both Doom and myself were referring to a minor increase in size (perhaps up to 2mm diameter), not making a huge hole. If the PC could push through the hole, I'd also be worried about the PC getting cut by the p...

Actually, teflon might decrease the speed of the water. If there's not enough friction, the water will just "roll" out of the gun instead of really "firing" out. Err... no. Reducing friction inside would be great for achieving better laminar flow and yield nice cohesive streams. Water wouldn't roll...

Uh.. enlargening the hole is quite different than sealing it. Making the hole larger wouldn't increase stress on the plastic. The only stress the plastic would feel would be during the drilling process, but if done properly, shouldn't cause any problems (of course always wear eye protection when do...

Just wanted to post up some general (some would say obvious) thoughts on opening up soakers after opening up 4 of them yesterday and planning to pop open more in the coming days. i) use the right type of screw driver - you don't want to shred screw heads and you want to be sure that the tip can act...

couldn't u drill with the bladder still inside? i mean its pretty small when not inflated Uh, that is what we were talking about above. No need to open anything to do the drilling. Just need to try to limit how much drill shavings enter the PC-casing and also just need to be sure not to accidentall...

do you think the soaker ball thing could be removed and a qfd put in it's place? Based on the tubing layout and valve placement, the soaker ball thing could, in theory, be replaced by a receptacle for the QFD, but you would have to manually open the Soaker-Ball fill valve to allow water into the PC...

wow, cool. i've never seen the guts of a CPS blaster before. what is that big clear tube for? anyways, i have pics of the insides of a max-d 6000 if anyone is interested. i'll post them soon. The clear tube limits the maximum size the CPS-chamber can expand. This is to prevent over-expansions and p...

My main complaint on this soaker (and the Lightning) is just the height of the trigger-grip handle. It's just too short for me to hold comfortably (and the bottom part is to big thick that my pinky has no place to go). Otherwise, 'tis a good stock soaker with nice features (i.e. CPS-like firing cha...

Wow. Impressive pics. I seem to recall you don't like opening guns...doing some repairwork? Adrian I still don't like opening them, but the value for repair jobs, education, and other things has pass the point that I can no longer ignore it. Since my favourite thing to do (apart from having water f...
