Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

What side is each team starting on? In other words, who's the blue team and who's the red team? To me it doesn't matter, but I would like to know ahead of time in order to make battle plans. That's one of the main attractions of the league, at least for me. I like coming up with a master plan ahead ...

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters

I don't think anyone is mad at the manufacturers; it's not 2004 anymore and the membership has grown up. I think most of the frustration now (at least for me, can't speak for everyone) is that the entire hobby seems to be dying. I think the only reason we're still around is because several of us hav...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Working well together is why I like being on Ben's team, regardless of the outcome. Neither of us have working 2000s or even heavy primaries right now, so I don't see why that would be OP? With these hit rules, where any felt amount of water is a hit, all you need is pretty much any heavy primary t...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Now that I think about it I don't think the 26th would work for me either. All May weekends are booked for me now. As for the teams, I think you've got a couple things wrong. The idea was to have three battles this year: the first one here in Little Creek, the second one up north, preferably Cedar H...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

The 26th is open so far. The 19th isn't. Talk to Keith though, I'm not sure exactly when he's available. Raw war footage is good if you're an enthusiast viewer and we can certainly continue gathering it, but I was thinking more from a promotional standpoint. Most people aren't going to be that inter...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

My brother doesn't think he can make it. He thought it was later in the month. Anyway, what are the plans for Sunday? I would like to do some filming and get an official video of this event. I know we have a lot of footage from past events, but to be perfectly honest, most of it is trash. A lot of i...

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters

Yeah, I've often thought the same thing. If you go on BBT's website and click products, it takes you to the dart gun section first, rather than the water guns like it used to. It would be truly disheartening to have water guns dissolve in favor of foam guns. Like, what's more satisfying? Blasting so...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

SEAL, it looks like you are gonna have to take one for the team man! Haha, you're probably right. Not sure a water war is a socially acceptable excuse for not coming, but...I mean it's not like I'll ever ask anyone to come to my own graduation party (whenever that may be) so it wouldn't be hypocrit...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

So apparently my cousin has her graduation party on May 12th. I don't know if there's any way to move the event forward or backward a week, is there? I mean, I don't technically have to go, but a lot of the family will be there. I'll keep you all updated.

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters

You wouldn't tease us about something crappy, would you isoaker? Well here it is. :| I mean, I guess it looks like it has good ergonomics... isoaker is right in that it's not a gimmick so much as it is a novel idea for nozzle selection...BUT, it's a piston gun. If it were say, spherical CPS like on...

Re: Water Storage????????

We had a limited water battle several years ago in an abandoned factory. It wasn't as interesting as you'd think, although we didn't really play it where running out was a tactical disadvantage; it was more like, save your water so we can play more rather than save water to beat out the enemy. Looki...

Re: Water Storage????????

What sort of location are you playing at? Usually whenever there's no water source at all, everyone fills their guns ahead of time, and brings backpacks stuffed with water bottles or 1-gallon jugs. Blasters that last longer are favored too, so no CPS 2000s or anything like that unless whoever is usi...

2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters

Finally got some info on the 2018 models, courtesy of isoaker We've already seen the Adventure Force Power Raider that BBT made for Walmart, which seems to be a fairly decent light primary, although BBT has so many of those already that it's kind of redundant. But isoaker is saying that there will ...

Hasbro Hall of Fame

I had this thought this morning and decided to post it for the sake of making a thread. Everyone likes to dirt on Hasbro, but to be perfectly fair, they have released a small number of decent weapons. Maybe nothing like Larami's best, but there have been some Hasbro guns that are battleworthy in low...

Re: Spyra One

Yeah, I'd probably prefer the one on the right. Reminds me of the Python 2, which is one of the most ergonomic guns out there. The left design would likely be a mostly two-handed blaster, although it doesn't look like it'd be very large based on the size of the trigger grip (assuming the picture is ...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

I think I'm available then. I will try to poke my head in more often, but no promises. Fortunately this event won't require much planning other than picking teams. Remember that those teams will stay the same for the remainder of the season, so choose wisely. Hopefully we'll get a chance to have the...

Re: Underrated water guns

I don't think the 2700 is that underrated. It does it's job very well, and I'd actually prefer it over the 3000 and 3200 for more maneuverability. The only meaningful downside is the fragile pump. Not a lot of people use it, but I'm guessing that's more because it's heavy and not suited to everyone'...

We're baaaaaack! Planning for the event of the decade is already underway despite last year's hangups. We just need YOUR help to pick out a date. As mentioned in the first post, arrival time will be Friday night, the battle will be all day on Saturday, and Sunday will be either the day of departure,...

Re: 2018 New super soakers

Found two more new guns on Hasbro's website under the "Zombie Strike" moniker. No need to even mention what kind of guns they are, but one thing I noticed is just how cheap they look. I know I've said that about their last few offerings, but they take it a step further. The older Zombie Strike Supe...

Re: 2018 WWN League Season Opener

Sorry for being AWOL, but some life issues got in the way and blah blah blah. As far as I know, I'm free pretty much every weekend except March 24th and April 8th. Might have some other things come up, but I usually try to make water wars a priority. I'd like to have the war earlier rather than late...
