Re: fixing a broken 1500

I looked at the post source code, and it does not appear that you tried the attachment method. Click on "Full Editor & Preview" below the "Quick Reply" section and look for the "Attachments" tab. This does not involve Photobucket at all.

Re: fixing a broken 1500

You can upload an image here if you go to the "full editor" and look below the post text field for the attachment tab. That should work.

Re: fixing a broken 1500

Do not throw this water gun away. Worst case scenario you could sell it for parts. icecrystal, I'm afraid that you're not providing enough details to make a diagnosis. Please post some photos and be as specific as possible. I can't really figure out what you problem is based on your description. The...

Re: Potential Successor to APH

Great first post. Welcome to WWN. The APH was designed over 10 years ago, was not originally intended to be a "standard" homemade water gun, and is in need of a major update. Other folks had improvements in mind back then that I was mostly dismissive of as I recall, and in retrospect I was wrong to ...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Sorry to hear this fell through.

I expect to be able to run around fine by the weekend of July 22. But I already planned to go to a meetup that weekend. I could cancel if there are no other good options. The weekend of the 29th seems more likely to me.

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Ben, it's much more important to be able to include you than to set up this war in any particular way. I already had some roles in mind for you that weren't so physically taxing. [...] We'll try to work things around your schedule for the next war. Thanks for keeping me in mind. The pain is managea...

Re: Largest Super Soaker Video

Nice work. I think this is probably more powerful than Supercannon II. 2400 psi vs. 100 psi is no comparison. But Supercannon II definitely beat his system in energy efficiency. His jet suffers from extreme breakup, while Supercannon II is fairly coherent for the fire hose nozzle. I could do better ...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

I attended the new years war with a cold, my head was spinning like the whole time and I could barely run. In some ways my illness limited the amount of fighting we could do, so use your best judgment. You're in Maryland right? I might be able to pick you up as well. I definitely do not want to be ...

Downgrade me to a maybe at this point. A foot injury has made even walking difficult over the past few days. Thought it might go away on its own, but so far it hasn't. I'll keep you all informed.

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Sounds intense. Did you take any photos? I'd like to see what we're dealing with as I intended to just bring some dark trackpants. Would that be enough or should I get something thicker?

Re: Battle for Little Creek

I'm not sure I'll be bringing any blasters because I don't think I'll have the chance to pick any up from my parents' between now and then. You all will be informed here if this changes. I'll see if I can stop by next weekend.

Re: Battle for Little Creek

I asked Nick if he would be interested in attending a war this summer, and he's not. You might want to try asking yourself. That venue sounds good. Edit: I looked at the train schedule and I can get to Rayleigh, NC at about 9 pm on June 14 without much trouble. Would be fairly expensive and I'd need...

Re: Serious Question

I have been meaning to host a few things this summer, but I've been so focused on work that not much other than work has happened. Right now I'm in Princeton, NJ for the next week, but I'll be back in Maryland through the end of August after this. If someone could host something in NC/TN and I could...

Re: CPS in Backpack (not in gun)

Welcome to the board. It's been done a few times, though not particularly well in my view. See this really simple blaster: http://www.sscentral.org/homemade/leftovers.html There aren't any major issues. The biggest I can think of is that I imagine using multiple latex tubes in parallel as you want t...

Re: Meet Ups in VA and MD

I've been busy the past few weeks wrapping up my semester and preparing for my summer internship, which starts this Thursday. This weekend I'll start looking through parks around Baltimore. Harford and Baltimore counties probably would be best. If anyone has the time to look online to help me out, I...

Re: Have manufacturers given up?

Two words: Legal issues. Manufacturers like Hasbro and Alex Brands are technically wholesalers. Most big retailers require them to sign contracts that forbid direct sales to consumers. You can't have a deal with say, Walmart or Target, and still offer the same products direct. Very interesting. I d...
