Re: Upcoming 2016 Nerf Blasters

Drac isn't the most informed water warrior That's because he isn't a "water warrior" lol. The majority of pop Nerfers/Youtubers generally don't have particularly broad depth of knowledge even within the Nerf hobby itself (most of them are even still recommending Trustfires/Ultrafires/Li-Ion batteri...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread

You saw them during the OHS game. I basically started dropping low more often and would press forward using a mix of cover and movement. Getting in very close range where it's difficult to dodge is very dangerous and relying on movement alone when engaging at those ranges doesn't work as effectively...

Along with the bags, I also found this little guy on the thrifting run. https://scontent.fdtw1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12311151_10153661643017597_2817607964607011617_n.jpg?oh=5b8555f1a9d63c755947e4d0f4efdcaf&oe=56F645EE Fun weekend overall. Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread

Alfatrooper, I think our downtime is actually comparable to most Nerf events I've been to, but the good side is that we get longer games. I do agree that streamlining things would be beneficial though, and that for fields with long walks, we should definitely cut down on the gear we carry. Waiting f...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread

We aren't even 100% set picking teams, yet someone's already trying to talk shit. Edit: While I may not have enough sass to truly qualify as a BBW (even though my hair's grown a lot longer than what you see in my avatar), I do have an offer: Duelfest! We pick our loadouts within what we bring,...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread

Dude, use http://imgur.com/ next time lol. Batch drag and drop, done. I've been trying for years to get a multi-phase attack/defend campaign style game going, but everytime I proposed the idea, it was too complicated and had too many rules. I'm glad to see this idea finally making way, and I think s...

Re: Real "backfiring" guns

Not sure if this sort of weaponry has any applications to water guns, but I thought it was interesting and worth sharing. I can't conceive of a use. At pressures and volumes where recoil is actually a concern (like, high end firehoses), backfiring to counteract it would be incredibly wasteful. Some...

Going back to this thread, and I get a good look at all the DANK AF MEMES WE LOST BECAUSE OF STUPID FTP TRANSFER MODES. One of those was a Doge too. On a side note, it's occurred to me a few times to sell off some of those zookas. I was going to convert one to a crazy full auto nerf build, but then ...

You can easily disable the 3D and angled views (both at a time) through the menu on the side. https://scontent.fdtw1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t34.0-12/12200913_10153616866057597_634116111_n.jpg?oh=91678981f31deeeb058b067168d33086&oe=563DFAD4 IMO, the amount of geometry and texture detail Googl...

Re: "Guns on the Peninsula," Tactical Scenario

I feel like this takes away from player choice, whichi s a bad thing... but on the flip side lacking control can add a certain element of desperation to a struggle and it forces you to fight in new ways which keeps things fresh. The point here is to add variety, or else the field ends up being run ...

Re: Riverwood, Clayton, NC

Hmm, the south area is quite linear and narrow; not sure how much of that is a good thing or a bad thing. (Definitely good for OHS to prevent wandering.) Either way, this area is quite different than what we've usually played. Edit: ^ Not just broccoli, 3D BROCCOLI! Go to Google Earth and tilt the v...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015

The rivalry died out just after my first community war in 2013. The board is still organized accordingly, but actual rivalry gameplay has not happened since. We almost had one at Frozen Fury 2013 but one of our players dropped out. Anyway, you won't need a team... Yet. There has also been talk of re...

Re: "Guns on the Peninsula," Tactical Scenario

It's not something I've done, so it was interesting to be able to try new strategies that way. I'm not sure it'd get old either, provided you're always getting different weaponry (within the context of a game set up to balance a certain way between the two teams), and instead of simply assigning by ...
