Re: Next generation rubber CPS homemade water gun planning

TheSoaker, I don’t have time to update the model for real at the moment, but I’ve lobbed the pump in there so you can get an idea of its size in relation to the blaster…. http://i.imgur.com/opV1ImK.png I didn't even know the Scorpion existed. Now looking at this blaster on isoaker.com, I found it am...

Re: Next generation rubber CPS homemade water gun planning

TheSoaker - I'm not sure if I will use LiPo, but I'll definitely use a Lithium technology for its superior energy density. The problem with LiPo packs is that I cannot find any in the necessary dimensions. I want to hide the battery in the strut channel (the "backbone" that everything mounts to). I ...

Re: Possible source for electric water pumps for future electric homemade soakers

<bump> The pump identified by TheSoaker appears to be made by Táizhōu Water Source Environmental Protection Equipment Technology Co., Ltd . To me, it looks like a generic version of the SeaFlo brand, which is made by Xiamen Huiliyuan Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. I like the SeaFlo version because the motor ...

Black Six - Thanks! I'll keep a lookout on Twitter. I see lot's of Bionicle stuff. Are you a BZPower admin? Buffdaddy - Oh, cool! I'm looking forward to your update. Blasterhub is a great site. The Rival Nemesis looks pretty sweet. I'm guessing the Rival ammo is closed-cell foam. Is there any generi...

Re: Next generation rubber CPS homemade water gun planning

Yes; I need to work on the valve, and I'll likely change the design below to include TheSoaker's 12-volt 100 PSI pump, but I figured I'd drop a screenshot of my 3D model's current state...

Re: Adventure Force Super Storm - Walmart CPS

Buff,

"...once things actually clear for approval, I'll be at Toy Fair..." - Are you in the toy industry?

Prime Time Toys will be in booth 2903 at Toy Fair. Perhaps you could swing by?

Can you post photos when you return from Toy Fair?

Thanks,

Bravo once again, TheSoaker. That's a great idea!

When are you going to try it? Do you have any existing homemades that you could modify & test?

Re: Adventure Force Super Storm - Walmart CPS

TheSoaker makes a good point. This is not a molded product like in the Super Soakers. That texture is indicative of a mandrel-made hose. Natural gum rubber usually comes in tan or red, but black might be available in China. Butyl, EPDM, and SBR are possibilities, but these hoses usually have wire or...

Thanks for sharing, Buff. I was curious about these when I saw them at Walmart last week. By the way, nice blog, dude. Clear and concise. You should post here more often when you have applicable news on your site. Don't wait another 3 years to let us know what you're up to. :-D Have you communicated...

Re: Assassins School Game

Tiles should be in stock at your local Best Buy. Home Depot and Lowes should have the tape (Walmart might have it, too).

Re: Assassins School Game

Nem, can you plant a Tile up under/inside the bumper (near a wheel well) of the car your target rides the most? I can't guarantee the car's metal will not throw it off, but it's worth a try because they are not terribly expensive. Mounting with 3M Outdoor Double-Sided Tape would be best. Although th...

Re: Assassins School Game

Have you tried holding your target's mom at knife-point? Seriously though, the car-blocking standoff has always been the most effective trick. So, keep using it! However, don't let it be effective against you. I have been in situations (not an assassins game) where people have tried to block my car....
