Re: 2009 Stock Soaker Predictions
Realistically, we will probably see more of the same. From Super Soaker: either re-releases, or new water guns, probably with low performance. These new water guns would probably have gimmicks, perhaps useful, perhaps not. The gimmicks would become the basis of the entire marketing campaign for the ...

Re: Best Way to Score a Soak?
I don't have too much experience in this because I usually have soakfests, but for OHK/OHS I voted for the top three options. "Any amount of water" works well because it's quick and convenient. No measurement required as with "fist sized splotch". With "fist sized splotch", however, you can stay in ...

Re: Hands-On: Water Warriors Vindicator
The Vindicator looks like a step in the right direction for Buzz Bee Toys. I didn't thik their 2009 line was going to be so great, but the Vindicator changed my mind. It seems like the only decent blaster in their selection. steelboot, I think the Flash Flood is better than both the Pulse Master and...

Re: More 2009 Water Warriors Water Blasters
Hmm, I'm interested as to what type of blasters these are. Pressurized reservoir? Elastic power? Also the size--the fact that the Vindicator has a strap means Water Warriors might be venturing into bigger blasters.

Re: Stock Talk 2009: What would make YOU happy? (Pick 3)
I voted improved ergonomics, output, and shot time. The recent blasters have been quite user-friendly, but I think they could be a little more practical. Range seemed to be a very popular choice, and I almost voted for it, but I decided on output because I usually participate in soakfests, where out...

Re: Flash Flood or Arctic Blast?
I think the Flash Flood is better, they are both very similar water guns however. In terms of range, power, etc. the differences are very slight and not big enough to make a real difference. I think the Flash Flood looks better, and the Arctic Blasts' gimmick "ice cubes in the reservoir" is useless...

Re: Best Water Guns according to Popular Mechanics
that was funny...They may have been replying to me. Mine was #3. That just reinforces one more reason Hasbro is selling to kids: the general impression of water guns is that they are childish and for kids.

Re: Best Water Guns according to Popular Mechanics
Once again, Hasbro successfully markets to the young ones. I'm not surprised they like the moronic gimmicks - motorized pumping, swappable reservoirs, side-shooting, etc. I could think of a reason that each one is useless. (Pump your own water gun and sweat a little bit; most old water guns had arou...

Re: Fav. Soaker: 2008
I agree, the Flash Flood seems more powerful than the Arctic Blast
Plus, it doesn't have the "cold water" gimmick
And, in my opinion, it looks cooler. Although you might think differently of course.

depending on where you're playing, let them use a hose or something. or, as previously mentioned, just buy them some small Super Soakers.

Water Balloon Launchers
Well, I've heard lots about WBLs like the Douchenator, etc. that can launch water balloons several hundred feet, and I was just wondering, forgive me if this sounds really stupid, but I'm not sure how you use them in a war. If your goal is to hit something hundreds of feet away, then how in the worl...

Re: Super Soaker and Water Warriors Evolution Trees
I just noticed that BBT has more piston guns than the entire history of Super Soaker. 0_o They seem to be more... "well rounded" and unlike SS's, they don't have a huge block of air pressure soakers. I'd imagine that the CPS line could approach the size of the air pressure block if Larami's streak ...

I read through the comments, and it seems there were 2 clear favorites among the visitors: The CPS 2000 and the SS 300.

Re: Soaker Dissection: Super Soaker Hydro Blitz
The Hydro Blitz, in my opinion, is "slightly above average". It's good, better than most, but not the best. I rate it above most air-pressure blasters and all piston water guns. Range/output is average for a large post-CPS-series soaker although feels underpowered. There are a handful of good and ba...

Re: Water Warfare Scenario 4: Blind Corner
I'm a bit of a risk-taker, so I'd take a peek around the corner. Here three things could happen: 1, there is someone there and he sees me; 2, there is someone there, but he does not see me/he is fighting someone else; 3, there is no one there. Since #3 is the easiest to deal with, let's get rid of i...

Re: Looking for CPS 2000
I have to agree with Ben. The CPS 2000 is very hard to get. Even if you found one available, it would likely be very expensive. Actually, I think there's at least one on eBay right now, but it's something like $200. In any case, if you want the CPS 2000 for battle purposes, you should know that it i...

Good choice, the Orca is definitely one of the best blasters currently in stores. Some of its nozzles are not that useful, however, it is a great gun overall.

Re: Refilling Methods
Depending on the place, either hose or drinking fountain. In all of my wars, refill areas are no-shoot zones and if you're out of water you are safe. I usually just refill straight from the source, but if a water gun is shaped awkwardly, I first put the water in a cup or something, then just put it ...
