Re: Getting a monster X stream laminated.
Oh I know. I know for a fact I'd murder almost any soaker with a CPS3000. The only one I feared was the Power Pak, as he'd make you pay if you didn't get him early.

Re: Getting a monster X stream laminated.
This is all very complex and confusing. I'll mess about with some straws etc and see what happens. I just wish Larami had never ben sold to Hasbro. I also wish they'd make propper SUPER soakers, not water guns. WE WANT A NEW CPS2000!

Getting a monster X stream laminated.
So the other of my two Monster Xs has a CPS 2500 pressure tank residing in it. It works well too. However I drilled the 11.5x nozzle to make it bigger, but it isn't very coherent. I want to do a mod to add tubes or something, ala CPS2000 nozzle. Will this work?

What's LRT?Rover wrote:I'm sure that can be done. I'd ask one of the people who've done extensive work with LRT for advice on how to go about this.

Re: Monster X/CPS2000 Hybrid problems
Personally, I think it's a bit wasteful to part out a 2000 just to get a bit more oomph from your soaker. Try replacing the Monster's bladder with some LRT as per the guides on SSC. This way you can re-assemble your 2k and work on the Monster as a project. Hmm, not a bad idea. I also have a CPS2500...

Re: Monster X/CPS2000 Hybrid problems
Actually, the CPS 2000 has an operating pressure of 45 PSI according to the box. Compare that against 22 to 23 PSI of most other CPS water guns... the pressure is twice as high. The nozzle assemblies for the CPS 2000, CPS 2500, Monster X, etc., are mostly the same. All have straws and screens. The ...

Re: Monster X/CPS2000 Hybrid problems
Most of the range on the 2k comes from it's nozzle assembly. Its CPS bladder is only slightly more powerful than any of the other ones used by Larami. Ahhh. How can I modify the Monster's to give the similar performance? I take it I'm gonna have to cut a few bits of mesh out to get a more coherent ...

Monster X/CPS2000 Hybrid problems
Ok, so as some of you know I have a Monster X with a CPS 2000 MK2 Pressure chamber in it. Tis a might gun, but the range isn't the same as the 2000's. Second, it's pumping water, as if the valve at the front isn't closing properly. How can I fix this?

Re: Soaker Wishlist - Which soakers do you long for?
I long for my CPS 2000 back. I have my 3000 still though, and I've won more fights with that than any other gun. Only thing that ever really gave me hassle was a PowerPak....I had one of them too! I want that back too.

Also interested in CPS3200.....is the connection from hose to gun a little more sturdy than on the 3000?

Still got the CPS2000? I need one. I need it for university. I WILL rule the roost when it comes to water fights. If you have it, PM me. I want it.

Most hardware stores have small barbed ball valves in the plumbing section. These plug onto the tubing easily. Those would be my personal choice, but not every hardware store has those. I don't have a small ball valve like that, but to make one from PVC components, you'll need two barbed fittings, ...

Anyone here use a Storm Force 6? I got one ages ago, and decided to bore the barrel a bit to make it a more potent thick stream. Wehehehehe, it fires 60 feet(with a slight wind). I remember it could easily fire as far as my CPS2000 Mk2. I admit it isn't a CPS, and therefore the stream drops off qui...

Okey dokey, I've had 3 CPS3000s in my time. I bought hte first one, the backpack valve broke(that little valve that you switch to turn on the water supply). I got a new one from Toys R Us, which also broke after a while, so my dad contacted Super Soaker customer services, who said they could send m...

Try a power screwdriver. Try putting the gun in a vice. Try putting ducttape around your screwdriver's grip. I've gotten many a rusted screw out with some combination of these techniques. If it is impossible to remove it, then it is truly for situations like this that God invented the Dremmel. An a...
