Re: Downsizing armoury: many soakers for sale

Hello Chris - yes, most of the ones on the list without a strikethrough (including the XXP 275 and XP 250) are still available. Send me a private message about any you're interested in, please.

Re: TOMY Bow Splasher - Unusual 1991 water gun

I think Larami did something similar in the early days called the Super Soaker Bow and Arrow. Not sure which propulsion method it used. EDIT: pressurised reservoir, 1993, so not the same technology, just a passing similarity in shape.

Re: Downsizing armoury: many soakers for sale

@m4: Good to hear from you. Hope you're keeping well. The XP 75 is a rare Action Man branded version - I don't think there's any performance difference with the regular XP 75, but I can't recall exactly. @SEAL: Thanks! I think you're right - I don't think we overlapped while I was actively posting, ...

Downsizing armoury: many soakers for sale

Greetings, fellow soakists, It's been a while. Not sure how many are still here from the SSC days (and before). Hope everything's ticking along well. I've decided it's time to downsize my armoury. I can't justify keeping upwards of 60 blasters, considering the limited opportunities I get to use them...

dandoodatrite, you might want to avoid posting three times in a row - it's not really approved.

On topic, the CPS choices are generally more formidable. Beware of high shipping charges to the UK, however, if you are thinking of buying in from the USA.

What are some of your pet peeves regarding soakers? I doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's soaker-related. One of mine is when people call them "squirt guns". Somewhat similarly, I'd say that people saying "you mean like water pistols?" when talking to them about Super Soakers can be ...

The SC600 gets massively long shot time, which you don't hear about at all. That's true. The SC 500 also doesn't get much press - perhaps because it's not so common - but it's a great weapon for its size. Any Storm guns. They can be good, but not universally. I'd also to this list add the XXP 275 -...

I remember Jerry making an appearance at the WWN boards and being the only member in the CPS 2000 level, despite having very few posts. I don't remember him from before then.

No, it wouldn't; it has, in the past, in fact, been recommnded to do so, since that effectively provides one with a whole extra shot.

Rarity is relatively high, but they come up fairly often on eBay. Realistically, there are some other Super Soaker items (the Super Soaker 10, the Super Soaker 20, the Super Soaker 25, etc) that are seen even less often. Their value, however, isn't anywhere near as high, since the demand isn't real...
