The small plastic disk with the slots in it, on the back of the blaster, where the backpack hose goes into the blaster itself has cracked, and split into two pieces. The nozzle of the backpack hose still goes into the back of the blaster, and appears to lock in place, so I'm guessing the damage is ...

I pretty much agree. The main stream, while nice at a 21-23 second duration under full pump is just plain anemic. Hell, an overload, even on it's smaller selector, has a better stream in terms of size, and it's bigger stream selector is fine. With a big beast gun comes a LOT of attention. You're go...

My technique to fully empty the blitz was to point the gun down and move the switch up and down from burst to stream while pressing the trigger until there was no more extra pressure/water remaining. It works fairly well. Yeah.. I can flip it back and forth, too.. but that seems like a cludgey way ...

Additionally, I have a help ticket open with Hasbro to find out how to fully empty the blitz. Even with the fill tank empty, and the blitz mode discharged, there's still water in the system and I can shake it and hear water in some secondary tank. I want to find out how to fully empty it, so I can ...

Well, the stream shown in the youtube video was also the result of about 30-35 pumps..... but the HB can shoot more than 4 bursts that's for sure, as you see in the last part of the video. I just didn't know when to stop pumping when I recorded this, the hydroblitz lacks a fill gauge. This gun is s...

A little more, practical testing... I can fire a fully pumped (30-35 back and forth strokes) Blitz in stream mode for 20-23 seconds before power drop off. This matches up within a statistical margin for error of the YouTube posted video of the Blitz in action. When I set to riot mode on a fully pum...

Thanks for the info. (I'll probably never take EnviroSci, though.) ZTrooper, the problem with partially submerged water guns is that the water that gets pumped is still pool water. So in the case of CPS water guns, all the chlorine still contacts the rubber. I'm aware of that.. he seems intent on u...

I sincerely hope that repairs, replacement parts, and kits become available. and, yeah, I know they can't sell and exact duplicate of the CPS system.. so I'm interested to hear about the piston idea... hell, I could probably be talked into funding one or two... if they had backpacks. 8)

Don't feel bad... I realize the guns are expensive, but there's just nothing out there any more that compares. I have actually started looking around for spares for my 3000.. (and yes, I LIKE my 3000, and I like the backpack... means I can use the larger settings for a longer amount of time before ...

I was just at my local Target, and they had nearly a dozen FF's on the shelves, with a smattering of Arctic Blasts, Overloads, and a couple of the rest of the 2007 lineup. They also had the 100 oz backpacks there packaged individually for 9.99 each. Finding a Hydro Blitz at Target was tough.. was o...

Thanks for the info. As for pool fun... I really had fun with my SS 300.. just drop the hose into the pool and away you go. The SS 300 was also a lot of fun on river rafting trips.. just drop the hose over the side.. no need for a backpack in either case. (yeah, I know.. no real availability of a 3...

I think the hydro blitz is the best gun I ever got. I think it gust might rivle the Monster XL! You sir, have lost your mind. I just had a little informal squirt fight with the neighborhood kids. 1. Blast mode drains your tank waaay too fast. Aquapack is going to be a must. 2. if you fire all 4 pul...

Guess I'm a small fry here compared to most... SS 100 SS 300 CPS 3000 MD-3000 (2) M.I. Overload (2) M.I. Flash Flood M.I. Arctic Blast M.I. HydroBlitz Just went with the old stuff, never needed more, but got intrigued with some of the Max Infusions since they take water packs. I'm a junkie for back...

If it's chlorine in the pool that's eating the CPS chambers.. um.. there's chlorine in tap water... so....why won't that eat up a CPS gun? I've got a 3000, and given their rarity and expense these days, I obviously want to preserve it for as long as possible....

I picked up a hydroblitz yesterday. What a beast in terms of size. I do like the incredibly long stream you can sustain once you've pumped up and if you pump at all while firing, you can, and will drain the tank in short order. The burst mode is indeed nice, but if you don't have the spare aquapak ...
