Re: Tactical Theory [Full Outline]
Anyway, I try to write at least 1-2 articles a day and am going somewhere with this for once. Now that I don't have to prove anything special, the pressure's off. Happy to hear it, although I suppose it's even more of a relief for you. Just curious, are the current theories supposed to be better th...

Wow, nice find! I think Ben was working on some articles on water gun history, but I don't know if he's heard of this one.

Re: The Dog Days War
Nice. I was a bit afraid you'd have scared them away with that arsenal, but then I realized it was more of a joke, and that there were enough soakers to share. Waiting for the next report.

Re: Wow... take a look at this eBay auction!
I don't know about all of them, but the one pictured in iSoaker's review had stickers on the right side. This article also mentions that the CPS 2000 is known to have stickers on either side. But still, the stickers could be gone...good point. Or perhaps the seller never bothered to look at the actu...

Re: Wow... take a look at this eBay auction!
mkhadem, that was exactly my thought. Why wasn't the CPS 2500 the highlight of his collection? Good deal for the buyer though. I'm starting to think that people who were interested in serious water guns and who only searched for the CPS 2500 and its ilk, maybe they didn't find this auction because t...

Re: New poster with a question...
Check out this page – one CPS 3200 (we know there was only one because of the double asterisk) was sold two summers ago for 150 US dollars (don't know where you live). Prices are down this year and we're a couple months past the May/June rush, so expect substantially less money for that water gun if...

Damn. That bit at the park must've been the worst for you. I think I've hinted this before, but perhaps you need to dial back your ambition. Seriously. Get a few friends together for an informal party and have fun...size isn't always a good thing. I hate to be blunt, but if you're the only organizer...

Re: Want better water blasters? Wish here!
I was thinking a 2 man blaster would be an interesting idea, it would have its advantages but as for movement, maneuverability would be very limited, furthermore, a lot of teamwork would have to be established and planning would be a must. I'm not sure how it would work though; most likely 1 would ...
Re: WBL Work
At peak pressure, you can find the force going in the direction of the barrel fairly easily. PSI literally is pounds per square inch (of cross-sectional area). For a circle we know the area is πr², which is π1² or just π square inches. Multiply the PSI by that and you get pounds of force. You might ...

Re: You Want a Water War? I'll Give You a Water War!!!
[quote=marauder4]My one question is, "How have we not known about this until now? This has been going on for 11 years and no one has stumbled onto the online watergun community to tell us about this. It just goes to show that while there may only be a few of us diehards who network online watergun f...

Re: Write-Up: Water balloon basics, usage, and applications
Yeah, the "whizzing droplets" sound like a good solution. I've played 3-hit-kill, which ends up being very similar, except that it applies to water guns, too. Doesn't really work, though, because if you tap-shoot and your opponents don't dodge quickly enough, it's all over. Constraining the mechanic...

Re: Write-Up: Water balloon basics, usage, and applications
Nice overview. I actually don't think water balloons do much splash damage. Someone linked to a slow-mo video of a balloon's impact a few years ago, and it shows that since there's only forward momentum, the water doesn't go off to the side in great quantities. Beginners' or used lacrosse sti...

Re: FoxTrot cartoon
@m4: Looking forward to it.
FoxTrot has always been one of my favorite cartoons. Good humor, and a little geeky...the drawings are a little obtuse at first, though. The upside-down noses, for example, used to bother me a lot.

I don't think I've read that one before. Thanks for the link.
That's an odd-looking "Super Soaker," of course. It looks more like a spring-loaded Nerf gun than anything else, with the charging handle in the rear.

I see. Any progress? I like the logo though, and I hope it's a sign of some good content to come. If it helps, I'll say that even a single article would be a great read...don't pressure yourself to finish the whole thing.

I think you mean "Imperial Death March". And I mention this not because I'm being picky, but because otherwise it wouldn't sound imposing enough. ;) Good selection, of course. This discussion thread seems to pinned to the top of the section, so I'd say it's meant to be read and posted on indefinitely.

Re: XP 150 vs Arctic Blast which is Deadliest?
Sounds like a fun and balanced fight. I'd have expected the XP 150 to be significantly more dangerous, though. And I didn't know about the Arctic Blast's riot blast, actually.
The coloring on the the XP 150 isn't too obvious.

Re: Monster XL fixed - armoury stats wrong??
Welcome back pritch. You may be able to fix the CPS 1500's pump. I was just going to link to this article , but it links to iSoaker's even better CPS 1500 repair article . Hope that helps. Good to hear you could plug up the Monster XL's quick-fill port easily enough – I'd have thought foam would lea...

Re: Anyone have a CPS 3000/3200 for sale?
If he's up for modifying water guns, he could get a cheaper CPS model and do a backpack modification. It's fairly easy, but yeah, you can't match the understated styling of the CPS 3000 and 3200.

Huh, in that picture, you look a little scared. Wonder why.
Cool, but kinda freaky, story about the deer. It always surprises me how people battle in forests at night...feels like you'd trip over a root, hit a branch, or something. Anyway, thanks for the post.
