Re: CPS 1021?
Good point. Looks like I misunderstood what toothpickmatt did. Skimming his webpages again, looks like he took the CPS 2500 nozzle selector (and internals?) and put that on the CPS 2000. See the last image here . I'd read more in depth but I don't have the time right now and wanted to fire off a qui...

Re: Pressure Chamber
According to this guide, you can cut off the end part blocking access. Scroll down a bit and you should see the end result. Please post what you find as I don't think this is documented well.

Re: JD-550 "Bullpub" APH
I think a more practical APH would be of interest. It probably won't be the most popular option given a similarly practical CPS homemade water gun, though. Still, rubber CPS bladders have issues of their own, so alternatives are welcome.

Re: CPS 1021?
Depends. A CPS 2000 bladder in a CPS 2500 seems to increase power/performance . More info here . I am skeptical that switching a CPS 2100 bladder or a CPS 1000 bladder would make much of a difference. The two blasters are about equal in power. There probably are variations in power from blaster to b...

Re: CPS 1021?
As I recall, that's a naming convention used by DX, and maybe a few others, to indicate that a bladder was swapped. I think 1021 probably means a CPS 1000 with a CPS 2100 bladder in it, though it could be the other way around. I think some people also used terms like CPS 2250 for a CPS 2500 with a C...

Re: JD-550 "Bullpub" APH
I would suggest making the chambers swappable by using threaded connections for them. Then if you pick one size and decide the other would work better, you can switch without too much trouble.

Re: JD-550 "Bullpub" APH
Nice 3D model. Is the idea to connect the pump to your shoulder so that you can pump by moving the blaster forward and backwards? I had a similar idea for a modification to an old foam dart blaster called the Max Shot. It's a neat idea that I'd like to see, so I encourage you to try it. As for the t...

Re: Fluid Stream Simulator V2.0
Nice work. I've been pretty busy, but I want to write a quick reply. I'll post a more substantive reply later. Something seems off with the turbulence intensity. Making it lower seems to decrease range, which is the opposite of what I'd expect. Could be an issue with the model I suggested, though. I...

Re: Picked up a Hydra Pak
Thanks for posting, interesting review. I seem to have missed this blaster when it came out and I had to check iSoaker for photos and other information. I think you're probably right about the hose limiting the performance. In a backpack homemade blaster with a pressurized chamber in the backpack, I...

Re: quick aph question
Can you take some photos of the part that rotated so I can have a better idea of what's going on? If it's a threaded connection, that's fine to rotate as long as it doesn't become detached and the seal doesn't break. But if it was PVC cemented as you described then it should not be possible to rotat...

Re: quick aph question
The hose could definitely make pumping take longer. Try a larger diameter hose. I think I used 3/8" inner diameter tubing before and found that worked well. It's a similar size to what the backpack Super Soakers used.

Re: XXP 275
Oh, right, it has the gears and a ball valve. The standard rubber band repair won't work. I'm not sure what's going on then. I would remove the handle and see how it works while manually turning the valve closed. If the valve can be manually turned closed then the fundamental problem is like that of...

Re: XXP 275
Leaking through the nozzle is probably the most common problem and it usually has an easy fix: http://www.sscentral.org/repairs/nozzle_leaking.html

Re: XXP 275
Sometimes you have to drill out the screws. Ideally you'd only drill out the screw heads so that the old screws can be replaced, but that's not always possible.

Re: XXP 275
Hi, welcome to WWN! The XXP 275 is quite rare, but you might find this old repair guide for a different problem to be useful: https://www.angelfire.com/sports/gng/xxp275restoration.htm If it's a simple air leak, then like all you need to to clean the surface around the hole with something like isopr...

Those are probably bots, not people. Bots to get training data for LLMs are really going crazy lately.also this is off topic but have you also noticed the really high activity from guests on this platform. i was randomly online one day just to realize that 1200 people were online at once.

Thanks for reporting back and sorry for the delay myself. I've been busy too. I'm glad this works well. Looks pretty simple and the price is good. I'll have to try this myself when I have the chance!

Re: metal pump idea i had
1/2" PVC pipe is only nominally 1/2". In reality the inner diameter varies a bit but is around 0.602" according to this table . I think if you use a smaller threaded rod then there won't be any problem with the nuts fitting into the pipe. But in that case, I don't think hex nuts would seal. I would ...

Re: metal pump idea i had
It's an interesting idea. I would recommend covering the entire length of the threaded rod with a plastic tube or something else so that you don't have to deal with the threads cutting into the plastic pump cap. The threads offer an advantage on the grip end in that you could screw on a grip, too. Y...
