Re: NEW Water Gun Line: Mizumi

These early model's don't look like much, but I hope this extra competition does something to stimulate the Water-Gun designs.
Although 50 bucks for what appears to be a piston-rifle is awfully expensive!
You could make one, possibly two far superior homemade water-guns for that amount of cash.

Re: Imagine a first rate battlefield in your own backyard?

Welcome to my life. Or at-least, a step closer. My nearest neighbor is a mile off and the closest thing to what you might consider a town is 15 minutes drive away. On the flip-side, my family owns a parcel of nearly 1000 acres here, consisting mostly of mountainous forest, some open fields, a grassy...

Re: Public Garden Trashed During Water War

Tragic.
If they had held the gathering in a forested area or some open fields, then it would probably have been fine.
But the fact that they were packed into such a place as those gardens made for a very bad aftermath.

I'm not sure if you know about this, but the "Hands-On: Water Warriors Power Squirt" is not working.
It says: "The requested topic does not exist." when I click on it.

Re: Elimination Vs. Survival

Interesting Revival ideas. God knows what kind of stalemates that could create though. Thus, making the different side's need to use strong and decisive tactics to score any points from a battle. Hit players cannot move while waiting for revival, so if a team is pushed out of an area, they will be ...

Re: Elimination Vs. Survival

My team uses a combination of choices 5 and 6 when fighting a OHK game. If you are hit, the result is a point for the opposing team and you have to go wait at a re-spawning point for a short period of time. This year, I'm considering doing some testing with a "Revival" system, whereby all teammates ...

Re: Argon Twin Pack?

The Argon seems (according to the Isoaker stats) to be the best of the Pre-Charger's line.
How much was it? I might pick up a pack if I see it.

Re: Water Warfare: Scoring Systems

This is the rule that we use: If you are hit with enough water to create a splotch that is larger than your clenched fist or an unbroken slash, longer than from fingertip to wrist, you are eliminated. This allows guns with high output to fire a minimal amount of water for a kill (the splotch). :cps2...

Re: Max-D 6000 RE-RELEASE?

I had noticed those on Ebay too. The 6000 just seems to be hanging on year after year. At-least their only re-releasing the best of the MAX-D line, but I'd still prefer to see some new designs. The only "New" guns from Hasbro we've seen so far are the Super Soaker Bottle Shot and Quick Blast, neithe...

Pansies?
Have you ever taken a direct hit from a Duxenator? That can leave a bruise.
I should know, I've felt it :goofy:.

Re: How to Promote Water Warfare

I see. Well, I too have run into the issue of coordinating when to meet and this winter I've installed a system for my team that will hopefully fix the problem. I contacted everybody on the team and asked which times of the month tended to be clearest for them, then averaged out all the data to find...

Re: How to Promote Water Warfare

I find that trying to discuss Water-Warfare with someone who has not experienced it, tends to be very ineffective. As you said C-A, they consider it a kid's game (BTW, I to have used the sports of paint-ball and air-soft for comparison. I guess great minds think alike :) ) Instead of talking, just s...

Re: How to Promote Water Warfare

For the last year, I've been regularly attending a biweekly gathering of homeschoolers in Plainfield Vermont, with the main goal of advertising water-warfare. Using the methods of recruiting that will be published in this upcoming Rogue Report, I have managed to gain plenty of interest and by now pe...

Another effective weapon of choice for snipers would be the Aqua-Labs-Sniper-Rifle*, which has a much higher effective range than any beam-gun. *: http://aqualabs.tripod.com/thelaunchers.html I have not built the A.L.S.R, but I am in the process of constructing a WBL rifle of my own design, which ha...

Re: Tactics: Bases

Also, who said anything about money?! All you need for fortifications are rubbermaid containers and/or cardboard and posts and string. Most people have those around the house. What I had been saying was that the fortification design I had in mind for countering more modern strategies and technologi...

Re: Tactics: Bases

Just be aware that fortifications can often be turned into slaughter pens with the right tactics. Water-Balloon-Launchers and Water-Cannons can blast away cardboard fortifications with ease and the outpost design mentioned above can be very easily flanked and overtaken, unless you have some-kind of ...

I've been debating lately wether to start a forum or blog for the M.M.M and would be grateful for the help.

I bet I could get at-least a few of my people to start talking regularly.

Dido with Jimmy here.
Myself and some others on my team use sunglasses at our water-warfare meetings, but I would be happy to oblige with goggles at a Tournament.
