Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Nice! I'll look forward to the stats and pics. I haven't seen the 20th anniversary edition this side of the pond yet. Will defnitely get one if I do. My original SS50 has had abuse for nearly twenty years and you know what? It's the only water gun I've had that has given me no problems, whatsoever. ...

Re: CPS 1000 knock-off?
On second thoughts I think I may have been a bit hasty to mock the poor thing. I took it outside and properly field-tested it, filled it and pumped it a LOT and it's not that bad at all. I think it's actually more like a 1.2x but I got it up to about 25 feet. Only downside is it doesn't quite mainta...

Re: CPS 1000 knock-off?
Well, the "1000" arrived already. The good news is it's not pump-based. It's a pressurised resevoir and actual working trigger! The bad news is it's pretty woeful :) The CPS design, which it copies, does of course allow the gun to become more balanced as you fill the PC. This don't - it's back heavy...

Re: Monster XL fixed - armoury stats wrong??
There's resistance, in fact when you start pushing it back in, it does try and push the pump back out again as the pressure rises. The way the washer placement is designed, it's almost like it depends on the pressure to expand the lip, creating the watertight seal with the pump tube. Except it doesn...

Re: CPS 1000 knock-off?
Ugh, pump-based. It will instantly become a present for a young cousin if that's the case. I did some more digging; http://www.dillydally.com.au/Uploads/Images/20.jpg Look at that!! It is more 310 than not - makes you wonder if Hasbro are licensing out the old designs for a few $! PS isoaker, desper...

CPS 1000 knock-off?
I've been browsing the 'bay lately and came across this; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=130319182710 Doesn't that look familiar! It's even called the "Super 1000" Anyway I bought one, had to see if it does actually have anything like CPS performance. Wi...

I'm pretty sure one would get that much in the UK (£70ish). There was one as a BIN for £40, disappeared almost instantly.Aquarius wrote:I didn't think this warranted a new thread and it certainly isn't shameful, but has anyone ever seen or heard of a CPS 4100 selling for $128.50 on eBay?

Re: Monster XL fixed - armoury stats wrong??
That's worth knowing - I'll make sure the 1500 and the xl get a bit of water through them now and then. With regards to the 1500, I still can't see if there is actually anything "wrong" with the pump itself. Both washers are on, there's no yellow bit as in isoaker's pics, but I can't see that down t...

Re: Monster XL fixed - armoury stats wrong??
Re: the CPS1500 fix - thanks for the link, very interesting I did have the screws out this morning but of course the 1500's nozzle selector is glued on to the two sides of the body so you can only tease it apart so far anyways. Then I looked at the article saw how easy it was to get the pump out ;) ...

Monster XL fixed - armoury stats wrong??
Hi all, Looooong time since I checked in on this site. Heh, I'm all grown up now - haven't got the time for water wars of the teenage years. But... in my job now I often work with young people. My colleague had a group who recently wanted to end their project with a water fight - well, that brought ...

Well, this is a repeat of my post from last year, it definitely has to go this time - I've run out of room! --- Hey, I'm in the UK. I have a Monster XL that I kind of need to get rid of due to impending move and lack of space. The thing is just so darn big :;): I rescued it from going in a friends ...

Thanks for the heads-up, I think there is no hope of finding said missing piece now :( I will look on ebay for a cheap SC gun as a donor maybe, though getting the original SC nozzle off looks to be a mission as it's glued up good. Obviously restoring full functionality would be great, either that o...

Hi, I've posted on here before about attempting to fix my Monster XL, which leaks from the SC charger nozzle when pumping. I finally got around to opening the case up today to try and see what's causing the leak. Here are some photos; http://pritch.mancubus.net/monsterxl.jpg http://pritch.mancubus....

Hey, I'm in the UK. I have a Monster XL that I kind of need to get rid of due to impending move and lack of space. The thing is just so darn big :;): I rescued it from going in a friends bin a while back. It's in good condition overall, there are a couple of scuffs but minor. There's no discolourin...
