Re: Larami 1987 Water Laser Blaster Internals
@PT_Bruizer Cool pics - thanks for sharing and never knew anyone who had a Larami Laser water blaster before. Do you have the target as well? @Drenchenator Larami Corp had sold water guns / water blasters even in the 1970s. (see: http://www.isoaker.com/Info/history_presupersoaker.php ) Of course, th...

Re: Water Warriors Garganuta X
No need to worry about its PC performance since the Water Warriors Gargantua X operates more like a Water Warriors Steady Stream. The trigger is purely ornamental.

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters
Do you know how viable it would be for a major manufacturer to break from the traditional wholesaler --> retailer ---> consumer model in 2018? Not impossible, very tricky/has notable expenses, especially for products manufactured overseas. In short, to get to consumers, need to first be in the coun...

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters
This is a really interesting idea. 20 thousand is not that many, but it's still at lot. Let's assume that it costs 50 dollars to manufacturer and sell the gun. That's 1 million dollars just in manufacturing costs, not counting all the start up costs and design costs. But this likely is within an or...

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters
On models, costs, and history: - Water Warriors Vindicator and its planned evolution: killed after Hasbro successfully sued Buzz Bee Toys, preventing them from making any rubber-bladder-based water blasters until the patent ran out - Water Warriors Gorgon: also killed by same lawsuit - Water Warrior...

Re: 2018 Water Warriors/BBT Blasters
You guys have a right to be upset at the limited available offering from the stock water blaster manufacturers including Buzz Bee Toys, Hasbro, etc. At the same time, as I've tried to explain before, you are complaining about the wrong part of the equation. A manufacturer like Buzz Bee Toys would be...

Re: Adventure Force Super Storm - Walmart CPS
Wait, 40 pumps??? Dear god, you must have a lemon. That is possible, but there were no signs of any damage on the blaster or packaging, so couldn't tell. That said, I've put a note on my review pointing to BuffDaddy's blog review as well, noting the possibility that the model tested by me may be de...

I won't rule out that *someone else* might be interested in such an undertaking. As for me, I'm being a little more picky on where I choose to spend my limited budget on things.Tim wrote:'

Re: Adventure Force Super Storm - Walmart CPS
Well, did a little more testing on my Adventure Force Super Storm - I really couldn't get it to pump much more per stroke than ~4mL (and I can only guess that it pumps less than that as the pressure chamber fills). As for the pressure chamber, mine seems to max out at ~65mL (~2.2oz), but that takes ...

Re: Adventure Force Storm Surge - Walmart CPS
Just picked up one of these based on recommendations and wanting to be aware of what else is on the market. However, mine doesn't seem to be achieving the same stats as BuffDaddy's. I'm only measuring around 4-5mL per pump (I actually thought mine was broken at first since I felt no major resistance...

Re: What Makes a Good Battle?
I agree with your three main points, but I'd put the importance of Players above the other two. Good Players can compensate for a bad location and/or set-up; bad Players will waste good opportunities.

Pick three (3) new water blasters
I did not completely ask the question I had intended in the Nerf is "best-performing brand" at Hasbro thread . As such, for my own curiosity, what are YOUR picks as the most interesting new water blasters for 2016. Some of the new models can be found on the iSoaker.com Product Review listing , but t...

Re: Nerf is "best-performing brand" at Hasbro
When it comes to creating water blasters that the WWn community would prefer, the biggest stumbling block is the general upper limit of $20 for non-"Super Soaker"-branded water blasters. BBT's forays into slightly more expensive water blasters have resulted in fairly flat returns. Making a new produ...

Re: Nerf is "best-performing brand" at Hasbro
Good to see you, iSoaker. We definitely still wish to discuss blasters. Blasters and events are not mutually-exclusive subjects. We're just kind of...stuck...in the blaster department. Manufacturers have been unable or unwilling to meet enthusiast needs for such a long period of time that we've bee...

Re: Nerf is "best-performing brand" at Hasbro
Why are we water folks so cheap? We water folks are not cheap - the enthusiast crowd is too small. I presented the idea of doing a Kickstarter project with BBT - as they are a mass-market company, to be worthwhile, we would need orders of 5000 to 10000 units. Given that number, there's no way I cou...

Re: Additives for water wars
As I no longer moderate/administrate these boards, whether I would or would not permit topics is completely irrelevant. As for my reduced posting here, it is simply due to a difference in interests. No offense is meant nor has any been taken - this active community is great and I hope it grows, but ...

Re: Isoaker 2015 range testing
Well, there are at least five options: 1) I'm lying 2) I was unable to measure ranges accurately for those particular blasters, but ok for the other ones tested (I also tested the piston-based Nerf Super Soaker Splatterblast) 3) I made all the statistics up (similar to one, but with more creativity)...

Re: Buzz Bee Water Warriors Losing Market Share?
I think part of the problem is that it's not precisely clear what Buzz Bee is doing (This is more or less the point marauder made in the OP). Maybe they dedicate a lot of time to trying make better blasters, but we don't see that they spent half their latest board meeting discussing that. We don't ...

Re: Buzz Bee Water Warriors Losing Market Share?
I started writing more, but am opting against. Instead, I'll note the following: Reasons BBT doesn't make bigger water blasters: price, cost, retailers, injunction, size of BBT (tens-of-millions company) Reasons Hasbro can do what it does: Brand recognition, size of Hasbro (mutli-billion dollar comp...
