Re: quick aph question
thanks for the response ben. i ended up switching the hose out for a wider shorter vinyl hose and it seems to work just fine now. i will find a solar shower eventually and complete the build. however while i was testing the gun however something strange occured and i have zero explanation of how or ...

quick aph question

Re: Tactical Sponges
welcome to WWN, these look cool. I could be wrong here but I could see these as a wbl ammunition type, since you wouldn't have to worry about your ammo popping before hitting the target.

Re: metal pump idea i had
thanks for all the help in the project Ben. one thing i will recommend if you do make this pump is try to use rubber washers that are on the softer side, as for the ones i use have a risk of cracking i think. anyhow thanks for all the help, this project would not be possible without your feedback. a...

Re: metal pump idea i had
quick update Ive tested this pump on my APH and it worked 100% without leaking, i just had to tweak the design a little. all i did was add another rubber washer and tightened the hex nuts until i couldn't anymore and taped the threaded rod so it does not damage internals. i also have a more accurate...

Re: metal pump idea i had
hi Ben sorry i didn't reply sooner. Ive been busy with stuff and I have been busy actually making a prototype of this pump which i finished today. i found out that 1/4" threaded rod just as you suggested was perfect so i thank you for that. 1/4" nuts also don't interfere with 1/2" ID PVC pipe so tha...

Re: metal pump idea i had
what # O-ring would you recommend because the pipe would be 1/2" and the O-ring would have to be taller than the hex nuts holding it in place. I also fear that the hex nuts would not fit in the 1/2" pipe.

metal pump idea i had
i just had an idea about how to make a metal rod pump without any special tools. here's the concept. the only downside i can see to this is the need for tape on the grip since the threaded rod would be quite uncomfortable to hold. anyways that's about it.

Re: 2024 APH (Final)
Ok great! I do have a smaller nozzle that used to be 1/16" but after finding out that in this configuration its a glorified spray, ive resized it to 1/8" using scissors. i was going to do some testing today but the rain does not make range tests ideal. so ill update you when weather conditions are b...

Re: 2024 APH (Final)
just made 2 videos of me shooting the gun with the 5/16" nozzle and the 1/2" Squall nozzle, i am not quite sure how to post them here but if you guys know how id like to know. i measured the range of my APH and i can say the 5/16" nozzle shoots 45 feet, im not sure if this is on par for a APH so id ...

Re: 2024 APH (Update)
Quick update I’ve fixed the issue turns out Teflon did the trick. Now I’m getting great range and power. The riot blast now is even more potent and I’ve made some nozzles that I would like to share.(note this is subject to change I will make more as time goes on.)

Re: 2024 APH
Thanks for responding Ben. Currently I have cemented and used the water gun and I have good and bad news. Now don’t worry nothing exploded and no one got hurt. The good news is the riot blast is very good and is on par with a flash flood riot blast. The bad news is that the main nozzle is sub par fo...

2024 APH (Final)
Recently building a APH, total cost in the high hundreds or low two hundreds. I could not find 3” sch 40 but I did find cellular core. There are a few differences however. I used only parts from Home Depot so that is something to consider. The pressure chambers thread since they didn’t have solvent ...

Re: Arctic jock concept(more powerfull arctic shock)
latex balloons probably are both of those things. however im going to test this out when project A,J is finished. i feel like LRT would be a matierial a little too good for someone like me to be using. as i said in the prior post if balloon bladder explodes i could easily replace or fix it. if i rui...

Re: Arctic jock concept(more powerfull arctic shock)
thank you for the information Ben. i will use this for evil. in all seriousness that is a great graph that you found. i guess that it was -6 degrees all along, should have trusted my gut instead. i should have said this before but the inspiration for the arctic jock all started when a couple of my a...

Re: Arctic jock concept(more powerfull arctic shock)
Thank you for responding Ben. I think that the ice would serve 2 purposes. 1 storage and 2 actually increasing laminar efficiency of the stream via cold water is denser than hot. The ice would melt with time refilling your reservoir as you play. Now the problem isn’t with the concept it’s with where...
