i wouldnt suggest takeing that mesh off. the reson why thats there is to prevent anything from getting into the chamber like dirt or any other particulate matter. if your careful with your FF then yeah i'm sure that'd be awsome but i think it will severly reduce the life of your FF Actually, I have...

Check valve freeze, I asked that on the forums once. There's this valve built into every soaker as a safety device. If the pressure exceeds a certain level, this thing is activated to release the excess pressure. If you remove it, you can keep pumping past that ceiling of psi... if you go too long,...

Ah, that's a shame.
I'm going to look into nozzle modifications.
By the way, have you ever considered doing a K-mod with rubber bands? I got the idea today when I ran short of baloons... I was thinking it may help a little.

I had read that article on the K-Mod- (the one that explains the need for a spherical bladder. Sorry if this topic annoyed someone... since the Xp seems spherical in its pressure chamber, I was wondering if I could do one.
Very well, then. Lock this topic if you must.

Hi there. I love my twin XP 270's, but they do lack lots of power. Besides nozzle drilling (which I don't want to do because I'm hoping to make this into a lightweight sniper) is there a chance that I can do a K-Mod? Can I even successfuly open the thing up?

I'm really not into mods that much, but my 'workshop' consists of a hacksaw, various screwdriver sizes, some blue painter's tape... that's about it. I haven't really gone into details with teflon tape or rubber cement.

Sorry I don't have any pics... I sawed off all of the nozzle (I don't think it had a screw anyways.) When I say all of the nozzle, I mean all of the area up to the big, orange circle. Thus, my "nozzle" is simply flash flood-like in that it has nothing but a metal grate on it. I'm a bit too inexperi...

Thanks a lot! You may want to check the picture link for the flash flood.
What exactly is CVF, by the way?

In case you didn't know, A 21 K is simply a CPS 2100 with the K mod. I totally ruined my 21 K by hacking off the front nozzle, leaving mine with a range of around five feet. :D Knowing only a K mod could ever get this into a worthy soaker, I decided to attempt it. After Seeing a nice article on the...

Lo there. I'm looking for some good power mods, or range mods, for the flash flood. I'm especially trying to get something going with the bottom nozzle. Has anyone experimented with theirs, and if so, could they recommend some sort of modification for the Flash Flood?

Yep, I threw on a 2 liter bottle with some painter's tape and molding clay. Stands up okay, I don't care too much about some slight leakage- you're going to get wet anyways, eh?

I probably should have checked here first...
I just took a hacksaw and totally sawed off the nozzle of my CPS 2100... (d'oh!) Now it shoots four feet... :D Oh well.

I'm in the market for a compliment to my newly bought and modded Flash flood. From what I hear, the devastator is equal, or better, than the flash flood. However, I'm skeptical... I'm glad it has a backpack for extra water (My modded FF holds 110 oz, to see how I did it, check out my other recent t...

1. Take a 2 liter bottle (emptied and cleaned. squish it onto the flash flood, so that the Nose of the bottle is inside the end of the resivoir (the resivoir and bottle should both be uncapped.) Take a knife and stab the top, so that there's a little hole on the end of the bottle. Widen it as you s...

Lo there. After hunter kindly explained how to do shotgun mods (What's a collossus?) I was trying to widen my nozzles. However, I just succeeded in creating a blast a tiny bit more powerful and about 10 feet shorter. I use a screwdriver to widen my nozzles, but I'm trying to break off the front are...

If you're the kind of person who likes to do close range battle (five feet or less) than this gun's the right thing for you. Watch out, though- its capacity is small.

Thanks- Ill try that with the CPS 2100.
What's a collosus? Remember, I don't know what these things are...
