How would you make a mini water balloon?
I've tried before, but they aren't tight enough to pop. Does anyone know how to make a water balloon about 2 inches in diameter maximum tight enough to pop on impact like a normal size one? I was just thinking to use some kind of roller to speed up the tightening process and just tie it up with a ru...

Re: Lever pumps/detachable pressure systems
I was thinking about it too, but there's a problem of how big of a frame you need to make the lever push the pump handle. It's going to take me a few days to really compact the lever pump design before I start, or else I'd pay like $50 for the framework alone. EDIT: do a couple of piston cups work i...

Re: Lever pumps/detachable pressure systems
Thanks for the feedback, guys. For the last bit about the spring and venting the air, since the PC is able to be unattached, couldn't I just fill it normally with water and the weight would just push the piston cup down (so I wouldn't need a spring)? Also, I don't really understand why I would need ...

Re: Lever pumps/detachable pressure systems
Thanks! I was expecting everyone to really dislike the idea. I feel like having a bunch of mini-pipe blasters would help with battle flexibility because you could have one with a long-range nozzle, a heavier short range nozzle, and a shotgun-style spread of streams that have about 5 nozzles that spr...

Re: Lever pumps/detachable pressure systems
Are threaded couplings leaky or something? I don't have much experience with them, I was thinking of something like a quick-change barrel where you take the empty reservoir barrel off and screw in a new one. Also, I remember reading a thread about air pressure in PVC pipe, and how schedule 40 or 80 ...

Lever pumps/detachable pressure systems
So I was just thinking about a new pressurized water gun, and I thought of the crossbows where a crank handle was attached to wind back the string and then detached after. I had an idea where there would be a pump body with a lever to increase force and make pumping easier (Maybe a crank handle too,...

Re: Fuze Cyclone bike mounted water blaster
I feel like longboards are much better for transport in water fights with roads. I ride longboards and they are a lot more maneuverable compared to bikes. You can also do something called "carving" where if you have a board based on turning (There's a lot of parts in a skateboard, more than you thin...

Re: WBL rifle (possible mini)
Honestly, this is probably going to sound dumb. When I used to take out the springs found in click pens, I found it was easy to just stick them inside each other. I'm pretty sure we could do the same thing and get for example 3 springs inside one spring and if that is enough to pop the balloon witho...

Re: WBL rifle (possible mini)
@the oncoming storm First, there was going to be a launching sled, not a pringles can or sabot. I think I characterized the barrel wrong; instead of grooves I meant more like slits with a bolt in them, much like modern automatic weapons. The launching sled would have bolts that would engage the 2 sl...

Re: WBL rifle (possible mini)
Again, the only reason I have ever considered rifling is due to the problem of mini WBLs. The most significant problem with mini WBLs IMO is making mini water balloons. My first thought would be to twist the water balloon to the point where the balloon is stretched so it will pop even with a quarter...

Re: WBL rifle (possible mini)
Hm. I was thinking that the best water balloons that could benefit from rifling would be mini WBLs, since if you filled a standard WB with less water it would be stronger and harder to pop and also more bullet-shaped. I was hoping rifling could make these "mini" water balloons more fragile and allow...

WBL rifle (possible mini)
Sorry for posting a lot, but I have had a lot of ideas lately. Recently there has been an idea for WBLs in which there is a launching sled instead of a sabot. I believe this would be useful if the sled was in a pipe where there are two grooves. The launching sled (Essentially a cup) would have two b...

Re: 2-man "heavy" water blasters
Hmmm, I was thinking more like the large piston gun or I made that you replied to. Maybe if you put a gear and drilled notches on the plunger one person could crank the gear it with two hands while the other aimed? The "gunner" would only have to aim and that would offset the motion of hand cranking...

Re: 2-man "heavy" water blasters
Oh, I hadn't thought of that. What I was thinking of for a heavy blaster was a sort of piston type heavy "Machine gun" where it would have extremely large output and still decent range with 2 people manning it. I think the reason my friend and I were so effective with my homemade was because we set ...

2-man "heavy" water blasters
Recently I was at a large water fight, where everyone was meeting up for the end of the school year, so about 40 people went. I recently posted a new water gun I had just finished which was a piston gun. During the water fight, the piston extended too far for me to push, so I asked a friend to help ...

Re: First working homemade
Thanks for the feedback. I was originally going to lop off the dead space area between the nozzle and the refill area but decided to use it a "refill area" where I can just dump water into someone else's gun. The reason I didn't use O-rings which I was planning on doing in the first place was becaus...

Sorry if I brought up an old thread, but is the splashzooka still available?
Edit: can I buy a quick fill device off you as well?

First working homemade
Hi guys, I am new to the forum. I recently completed a piston blaster that is fairly large and has decent capacity. My ability to actually build though is kind of lacking though, so this blaster has many "noob" problems :baby: . First off, this gun is leaky. It leaks out from both the back although ...
