They're not all called "Sphynx"!
This 'air pressure' version is named the same as my 'hydro power' one.

Re: What's available at the shops (in the U.K.)
image.jpg These new colours are on the Buzz Bee website, must be 2015 colours. See they no longer make the Gorgon (great blaster) but at least Colossus 2 lives on for a bit longer. Steady Stream 2 also in new colours at £6.50 each or two for a tenner. Didn't particular like them as they leak a lot ...

Re: What's available at the shops (in the U.K.)
Seems ASDA have repackaged them in "George" boxes to reflect their homewares range.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
After my lucky find of a Hydro Powered Sphinx I also found a Gorgon at the same shop which I snapped up - I was a little disappointed by it's maximum output (high expectations) but I did love the abundance of nozzle selections and the big reservoir. Thinking that I'd never find a Hydro Powered Gorgo...

Re: What's available at the shops (in the U.K.)
Sad state of affairs when all we can find are the Nerf Super Soakers 2014 line and some cheaply made unbranded squirters, (unsurprisingly) there is plenty of stock everywhere. Summer is over.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
The parcel was listed at 1.8Kg, boxed and bubble wrapped. The Sphinx itself is about 1.1Kg when empty which is surprisingly heavy (although the plastics used are better quality than my Colossus 2). Kind of explains Buzz Bee's train of thought with the smallish reservoir, it's a lot less heavy than a...

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
I think the international shipping will be prohibitive as it weights almost 2Kg when packed in it's box!

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
I am now starting to see what all the fuss is about with CPS class blasters! It's a shame Water Warriors never had the chance to produce more of these hydro powered models which were just about approaching some of the output of those old Super Soakers. @iSoaker: the large nozzle outputs and ranges o...

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Thanks! I just tried firing the thing upside down. Assuming there isn't some kind of one-way valve on the input tube of the pressure chamber, if it is air-powered I would assume it would shoot out air? That said, iSoaker's visual clue is much quicker - and it does both have a hole on top of the yell...

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Just one question: how can I tell if this is hydro powered or air? Ordered an ex-stock water blaster which arrived today. It's re-branded Chad Valley, which is a popular children's brand over here and you can still see the Water Warriors "WW" next to "Sphinx" despite the reworking of the sticker. Wh...

Re: Nerf Super Soaker Barrage - Hydrowar Review
Over in the U.K. we don't have as many Water Warriors or old CPS SuperSoakers in our stores or Charity shops, so our only real avenue to water blasters is the high street shop. eBay is expensive and also doesn't offer as much choice as the U.S. site. However, the new SuperSoakers are everywhere. And...

Re: Clash of the Titans: Colossus vs Colossus 2
Water blasters are finally back in stock for summer, one retail store still have some Water Warriors Colossus 2 at 40% off last year's price and seeing that it was either that or some cheap knock off or a Super Soaker Barrage at some inflated price I thought I'd give it a go (I wanted to try a bigge...

Re: Clash of the Titans: Colossus vs Colossus 2
I was so disappointed when a Colossus 2 arrived through the post (I had ordered a Colossus 1) that I sent it back. Instead I decided to buy the Python 2 and I have not been disappointed. Stats-wise it's not much different from the Colossus 2 in performance except shot times are much longer because o...
