Re: CPS 4100 Mark 1 trigger snapped
I GOT THE CAP OFF!!!!!!!! I used my big sharp and sturdy knife and worked on one side until it broke free of the glue and came off just one half of the casing. I then removed all the guts and disconnected the intake hose to clean out all the crud inside the tubing. After looking everything over it s...

Re: CPS 4100 Mark 1 trigger snapped
Update: I got all of the screws out, but I could not wiggle either half loose from the end cap. I tried manually finessing it for a half hour, then tried warming it with hot tap water and then wiggling and twisting it. After that I tried heating it with a hair drier and using an adjustable pliers (N...

Re: CPS 4100 Mark 1 trigger snapped
Yeah, I'll try what soakinader mentioned rather than saw it. After looking at some pictures of the internals of the gun it may be a bit much to replace the internals with stronger homemade parts. The most I could probably do is replace the water lines depending on how bad the buildup is inside them.

CPS 4100 Mark 1 trigger snapped
on a separate note, my old CPS 4100 Mark 1 model just suffered a trigger snap. the little plastic trigger sheared off. I removed enough screws to manually reach the stump where the trigger was so I could discharge the bladder as it was fully pumped up when the trigger went. Tomorrow I plan on openin...

Re: Has anyone here made a CPS with an electric pump?
I wonder if it would be a good idea to make a flexible bladder inside a sealed chamber filled with air, and filling the bladder would compress the air. I would need to have an pipe end cap that I can put a pipe through to attach the inner bladder but still maintain a seal. The advantage of this is n...

Re: Has anyone here made a CPS with an electric pump?
I think I may have miscalculated in converting the pressure units on the rating of the previously mentioned pump, and on top of that I never saved the link and can't find it lol! Further searching has shown that a pump that can put out the needed psi is big, heavy, expensive, and needs a very large ...

Re: Has anyone here made a CPS with an electric pump?
Update: I looked around online, and while I found many DC mini water pumps, most did not list pressure tolerance. On Ebay there was a series of submersible water pumps that could handle 70 psi and draw around 850mah (that means you could run the pump for a few hours on a good NIMH battery pack). A l...

Re: Concepts thread
That's a really cool idea... And I think I know just how to do it! I saw this Six Flags water sprinkler majig, that's basically a hose with a bunch of little tubes that spray water down the length of it. And, I have seen a Super Soaker Skipping Rope on Ebay (for like 1$) that looks like the same id...

Re: Concepts thread
Someone mentioned a spongy sword and I had an idea. If any of you have played the video games Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas there is a sword in the game called the shiskebab that has a gas tank backpack with a hose going to the sword and a burner at the hilt wreathes the blade in fire. My idea is ...

Has anyone here made a CPS with an electric pump?
I was just wondering if anyone here has made a CPS style water gun using an electric pump. I have thought about using a rechargeable NiMH battery pack for power as I have dealt with them a lot when I was into RC cars. I think it would be possible for a pump powered from such a pack to pump up a blad...
