Re: Replacing on board pumps?

Tiny update! I have a ss200 I fixed, and a cps 1200 with a broken tank and check valve. I don't feel like fixing the 1200 it's in bad shape, but the pump fits snuggly over a 200. So I'm probably going to cut back the 200's pump a lot, leave maybe a centimeter of dead space, and then have the 1200 re...

Re: Latest repair

Got a busted up SS200 for really cheap, turns out it was just broken where the PC connects, the twisting motion snapped the bottom of the holder. So some Automotive goop and boom! Works like a charm. Needs more lube though.

Re: Filling/Refilling Equipment

You could probably build something like that off of one of those dollar store perfect sealed pump to shoot things (Cut off the tip, put a 1.25 bushing on it) and attach that to 2 check valves, maybe a tank even of some sort. I've thought about it just to have a splashzooka usable...

Re: NJ POLL

Hey, whatever happened to those monthly wars you (Neptune) were planning on doing? I would have totally come down for them. NJ was far away before 2011; now it's like nothing. But to answer your question, no, I don't think there are any new members from that area. There haven't been many new member...

Re: Replacing on board pumps?

I do have a broken max d gun... The thing is is that I have my only 100 at the moment and it is pretty good quality for a 24 year old gun, I had to reinforce the backing of the pump with some E resin and mesh tape to fix a snapped pump but otherwise thinking of keeping it at least externally looking...

Re: Filling/Refilling Equipment

On this topic when battles aren't by streams what's a good way to supply water? Just a bunch of those 5 gallon water bottles?

Replacing on board pumps?

I want to have a ss100 have a bigger pump, much like an(a?) xp105, but would like the pump to still be attached/tracked to the main thing. I have a general idea of how I'm going to do this, but was wondering if anyone had done something like this before?

I haven't tried it out but theoretically it works.

Re: Hydro Cannons!

Could I put CPVC and then some mesh on it or would that hurt lamination?

Re: Hydro Cannons!

One works but I'm not really a fan if this is operating properly... The stream comes out in one burst, it's like a max D valve, but the stream is too wide. I'd like to thin the stream some way, also I have to drill out the others screws... As Nerf likes to do it's overly full of screws though, so it...

Hydro Cannons!

So someone threw out two Hydro Cannons today, one's trigger is a little sticky but works great otherwise, the other has a messed up firing valve. It leaks when pumped and if you hold over the nozzle and let go it will spray at a downward angle. Here goes nothing on the repairs! (Provided the screws ...

Re: Cracked Pressurized Reservoirs

I've repaired cracked air systems by sanding, super glueing, sand the super glue, then 2 part epoxy resining it. That may help.

Re: Hydro Shooters

They have little pistols that are spring powered at walmart during the summer for a couple bucks. I like them they're kind of fun. They don't have that good range, and modding them with a more powerful spring doesn't help range more than a foot or two.

Re: Internals request: 2007 secret strike valve

It was comfortable to hold and green, and now it's Saint Patricks day so I just had to! I had a few hours before work today and have a lot of blasters to repair. I would like to replace this pump but keep it on board, maybe cut the slot a little longer so the 2" draw becomes 3 or 4. I have yet to me...

Re: Internals request: 2007 secret strike valve

Thanks! With this hopefully I can fix the ss:2007 easily, albeit I think the arm for the ball valve itself snapped at the spring holder, so I may have to either epoxy resin the spring onto it directly, put a small rod into it, or de max d it. Is there any notable downside to de max d-ing things?

Internals request: 2007 secret strike valve

I just aquired a 2007 secret strike and aside from the small pump stroke(looking in to fixing that) I really like it. But the trigger doesn't work and it keeps getting stuck in open position. Upon inspection the spring inside by the max d valve snapped. I was hoping someone here could just get me an...

Re: Re-Create Dusty's water gun

It's really simple. He filled an air compressor tank with water, and made essentially a steel PR blaster. Fun until it runs out of pressure, then you're SOL. Sorry to rain on your parade but its really not practical.

Re: Max D Valve repair/replace

It's not the max d gimmicy part though. While that's prone to breaking mine broke right at the seal itself of the ball valve. I don't think there should be that much of a difference if we replace our parts with non-Max d parts though. I just found a md3k at a thrift store, so when I'm less sick I'll...
