Re: My new CPS system
KY His + Hers is a very high quality silicone-based lubricant. Don't ask me how I know this. Water will not just wash it away. Don't ask me how I know that, either. My pump is thin-wall 3/4" tubing with a 1/2" PVC pump shaft... I run a three-layer seal just because I'm all into over-engineering thin...

Re: CPS 1200 help
Dibs! (If you decide to sell it) Send me a PM with a price- I've been looking for a fixer upper CPS-class blaster. You can be sure it'll go to a good home with me- very ideal conditions in my house for storing them, and I like to play with my toys so it will definitely see repairs and improvements. ...

Schedule 80 PVC. PVC solvent welding is safe for potable water, so I hardly see how it would be any worse in this application. Use 4" PVC and fittings for your reservoir (a bit pricey, especially with the SCH80 tubing, I'm afraid...) but the SCH80 is rated for far in excess of 150psi. Use a service ...

Re: A super soaking... aircraft?
Set it up like a "clunk" style r/c aircraft fuel tank- there's a very flexible silicone line with a weighted intake that flops around the inside of the tank to keep it in the fuel or in your case water- you could also have a dual-layer setup like WWII-era fighters with the actual water container bei...

Re: Hasbro IS LISTENING! the math speaks for itself!
It really doesn't take much work to make the HC a decent soaker... And I'm currently in the process of not exactly increasing the size of the bladder but of increasing the output. Sadly, it has a cylindrical bladder which does not lend itself to being k-modded. To prevent us from using LRT, they add...

I know I'm going to get lynched for this, but I voted "Other" in reference to the HC. Sure, it's not nearly so nice as the older models, but... Well. I could look for months and not find any of the older blasters for sale near here- not to mention the fact that any "real" blasters as they are called...

Re: Hydro Cannon Posible mod
Um... I have, actually, come up with an interchangeable nozzle system for the HC... And it isn't just sticking CPVC down the front end- I've got a male threaded piece permanently secured to the end of the blaster and I can screw on different nozzle depending on the situation. Maximum shot time I've ...

Why not put a single balloon on the bladder first? A single balloon will have no large impact on power and will make it a simple process to remove this stuff.

Re: New discovery - PEX pipe
Hmm... I recall doing something very similar not too long ago.
I wasn't aware PEX used the same sizes. Good to know!
A couple inches off the end of the pipe should net you some better performance, as well.
Which reminds me... I still need to get video of the this mod v2.0.

Re: Hands-On: Water Warriors Colossus @ iSoaker.com
For measuring the PC volume, couldn't you simply hold the blaster on end (nozzle up) and hold the trigger while pumping until water burbles out of the nozzle? Tilt the blaster down to drain the nozzle and then empty the PC into a cup or the like.

Re: Water Guns You Didn't Like at First but Now Love
Arctic Shock. Yeah, yeah... Everyone hates 'em for the small pump and PC. I can still coax some impressive ranges out of mine. Shot times are a bit short but it does soak fairly well. I like the balance of it- it's weighted similarly to my (real) carry weapon, the good ol' Smith & Wesson 1911 Police...

Re: WW Gorgons at Wal Mart this year
From what I gathered at the two Walmarts I go to, the HC was dropped for the winter season only... It should be back come spring/summer. I saw a Gorgon at Walmart in November and I'm still kicking myself for not picking it up... I think the Gorgon looks like a great candidate for a homebrew CPS blad...

Re: The Hydro Cannon and, erm, other Nerf models.
The Hydro Cannon is probably an excellent blaster, mainly for its sheer modding potential. (Never got a chance to buy one, but I might if it's still available this year.) Every single other thing Nerf SS has ever released goes from being mediocre to being just plain useless garbage for most water w...

The Hydro Cannon and, erm, other Nerf models.
When I came on to the WWn forums, there was a lot of hate being thrown around about the entire 2011 SS lineup... Though I've noticed it's decreased some. Since we got a bunch of pictures uploaded of the internals, have people forgiven its small bladder size for the fact that the rest of it is fairly...

Yar. I typically lug around that much weight (at least!) as I go through the day just to help maintain muscle tone. As a random tip... If there's anyone who'd like to help tone/strengthen their legs passively, those lead weights you strap to your ankles are great. Despite both knees and both ankles ...

I'm broke. I make $60/week and have to pay $80/week for gas to get to school. I can't afford another homemade. Maybe this summer!
I'd do a compact unit to complement by big one.
