That's a neat ad! Gave me a good laugh.

There was another gun used at the end, and it looks like a knock-off of the Krypton. Lots of the Krypton's features are missing and it shoots out of the middle of the 'nozzle selector', a tell tale sign.

I'd really like Buzz Bee to continue making bigger and better blasters. One thing that bothers me though, is how the Buzz Bee blasters struggle with the larger streams. And it could be very easily fixed! When my Piranha broke a while ago, I decided to have a proper look at the valve that they're us...

For me, it's been the Flash Flood. I couldn't find any in New Zealand when they were released, but I've since moved to Australia (yup, my soakers came too) and I was able to find one of the double packs easily. I love it! I've removed the mesh on the flood nozzle on both of them, and boy does it pa...

I can't figure out what it's supposed to be now. What you observed seems valid, but it is very hard to tell with such a bad picture. However it turns out though, I'm just glad that finally there's a larger Super Soaker back on the market.

Don't forget that the background is also a different shade of yellow to the kid's shirt. The space between his right arm and the gun is just the background, and I don't see anything behind the gun that obscures the view of his shirt and left arm. Make sure to enlarge the picture right up though, be...

If you look closely on the box for the Covert Control, on the bottom right corner there is a kid using a larger gun with a strap - looks to me like that's the Hydroblitz.

Hahaha, I have the exact same scenario as isoaker and rook. I have had several dreams of walking into a store and finding a huge selection of soakers (usually from the '98 series). The worst part is waking up.

Great review! I love my 1000, and I pretty much agree with everything in the review, it's a great all-round gun. Such a shame that Hasbro won't produce something similar these days, but hopefully Water Warriors can come out with something that matches the 1000 in the future.

Actually to pull the pump out of a 1200, you're going to need to take the whole soaker apart...which means prying off that big, annoying orange nozzle cap as well. Usually this can only be done by popping it off with a couple of screwdrivers (that's how I did it, anyway).

This topic should be in the armoury section, I'm sure someone will come along and fix that. Congratulations on your deal, the 1000 is a great gun. The CPS 1000 should still function with the cracks in the chamber, as it's merely a protective casing and doesn't hold any 'pressure' until the chamber ...

@ sbell25: Wait, did you do yours on a Flash Flood? In your first post you mentioned spraying the silicone lubricant down the largest nozzle, but now you say to remove the selector and use the main nozzle. Not too big a problem, but this might be a point for confusion. I did it to an '05 Piranha. I...

Ya, sorry. I was feeling in a bad mood after working with my guns for several hours with no results. Sorry again, I'm cool now. Tomorrow I'm gonna try using a hypodermic needle to squirt it into the ball-valve more directly. Damn these cheap new triggers. And once again, sorry sbell. No worries. Bu...

It's quite interesting to see how many people have or have used a CPS 2000 mk2, myself included. My mk2 is the most powerful stock gun that I own, but my homemade (which isn't very powerful as far as homemades go) has quite a lot more power than it.

Spray silicon spray down the largest nozzle. I found that WD-40 just makes the problem worse, but silicon spray makes it like new again. Good luck!

Another problem you might have using 6-inch pipe is that the pressure rating is lower than smaller sizes, at only 180psi. In 80-90 degree heat, that rating drops to only 135psi. As you're using compressed air, it could be dangerous when charging it to 100psi+. Unless of course you managed to find s...

I say get the Piranha. It's smaller, lighter and easier to hold than the Blazer, plus it gets slightly better range as well. The only reason to choose the Blazer is if you want more capacity, I guess.

Just one question about these piston water cannons: once the piston has moved to the front of the gun (towards the ball valve) after a shot, how do you get it back to the other end of the gun again for another shot?

Try levering the 2 halves of the soaker apart, just enough that you can get in there and pull open the trigger valve. You probably don't need to remove the front nozzle cap to do this. I'm having similar troubles with opening my 1200 as well, it's really frustrating! Good luck, though.
