Re: XPS documentation ?
I tried it with one or two balloons a long time (10 years maybe?) ago in my XP70. I only did it to separate the air and water, so I could fire the thing upside down or at odd angles, but used more than one to try and make up for the lack of precharge. In practice it's not worth the time, effort or b...

Re: 300 acting up again
A photo of it maybe? It's a new one on me. My guess is that it does the same job as the air vent in your backpacks (basically a PRV). Obviously if you pump with the backpack valve shut you're going to create some pretty large negative gauge pressures pretty quickly (very little volume between the ba...

Re: 300 acting up again
When you say air bypass, do you mean the check valves in the tank caps that draw air into the reservoir during pumping?

Re: CPS 1500 - defect or normal behaviour?
Although I think the minor leaking is usual by now, when I took a closer look, I found out that the mesh behind the nozzle is loose... Is that normal? There wasn't a close up of that part in your repair threads and I couldn't find anywhere else. Can you tell me anything about it? It remains in plac...

Re: CPS 1500 - defect or normal behaviour?
I'm pretty sure mine does that too. Some water will inevitably get caught in the large casing around the selector, either during firing (as per your diagram) or even after firing as there will be some water left in the section of the barrel in front of the valve. After you close the valve it will ju...

Re: Fire extinguisher blaster?
That's an expansion tank. It basically has a rubber bladder which separates pre-pressurised air and water so it can be used any which way up and won't need precharging every time. The bladder doesn't stretch it just rolls into itself as it empties. I used one in a homemade I made a few years ago, al...

Re: Repairing/Creating a Q.F.D?
It's definitely doable and has been done before with varying success ( this one is pretty good and doubles as base defence). If it's just a crack in the side of the QFD's vertical tube (where you push the SC nozzle in) it should be fairly easy to fix. If you can find a piece of tube which fits snugl...

Re: Water Gun Gauntlet.
I've added a link, in my post above, to another setup which would work quite well (car piston). Unfortunately I don't know anywhere specific, at least not over in the US, that might sell powerful motors and/or pumps. Some of the RC enthusiasts on here might be able to point you towards a source of p...

Re: Water Gun Gauntlet.
No problem, that's what I'm here for! I personally wouldn't go for a spring return (that's not to say you shouldn't do that if you really want to). You'll need quite a strong spring to push the pump all the way back in, and you'll need a more powerful motor-gearbox than you would otherwise to overco...

Re: Water Gun Gauntlet.
Soakinader, think of a Microburst with some electrics and a mechanism to move the pump back and forth when you press a button. If you want an electric blaster, and range isn't important (21ft max), you could just cannibalise an Electrostorm. You've got an electric pump in there. With a voltage modif...

Re: Anybody Got these Internals?
There's no need to be sorry, we all start somewhere. Like Storm said, the Super Soaker XP 215 is a decent little blaster. It's miles ahead of the Microburst as it uses air pressure to pressurise the water. You pump it up a few times and pull the trigger to fire. The Microburst doesn't even have a tr...

Re: Anybody Got these Internals?
I'm not even sure anyone has taken one apart yet. There really isn't much to see, and there isn't really anything worth modding or anything that can break so I don't think anyone here has really found the need to open one up. I'm not even sure if anyone here, other than isoaker, even bought one. Tha...

Re: The Problem with WBLs
Soakindator (I meant to call you that) He listed potatoes in his list of sabots, read carefully before you post. wbls already have gotten 100+ ft. w/out sabots , instead using pototoes or other objects to block the wb from direct air impact. He basically said using potatoes etc. instead of sabots. ...

Re: The Problem with WBLs
well. as ive seen, please correct if not true, sabots fly with the wb, but drop off after a certain length. It depends on the design of the sabot. A good sabot would cup the balloon, and provide good support, with flaps when loaded. The flaps then open outwards pretty much as soon as the balloon an...

Re: CPS 2000 MK1 - ?
What is it about being at max pressure that makes it difficult to pull the trigger?? I'm guessing it's because when you open up the firing valve you are pulling it back against the pressure generated by the pressure chamber. Pretty much. The pressure in the valve pushes against the back of the valv...

Re: weed sprayer water gun
And don't compare it to a Hydra Pak, please. Unless you have seen a weed sprayer that holds more than 6L, and/or uses CPS tech, please just don't go there! lol I meant a backpack one would have a similar feel due to the pump arrangement. :goofy: That said, I think some have a swivel pump which you ...

Re: Adding a Higher Volume Pump to a Stock Blaster
The beauty of the suggested layout is all the components are stock, and left in about the same place, so it requires very little work. if you want to remove the PRV (I'm not sure which of the pipes the PRV is housed in, I'd guess the pipe nearest the back, but can't be sure), you may be able to get ...

I was thinking more like this: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-pixtoZKxmAo/UgkDYL7vnxI/AAAAAAAAAoY/kiipI4U33Wg/s800/PPB.jpg It reuses one of the connections the the PC line Yyou'll have to make a new connection at the back below the rear PC, a hole with a pipe jammed into it and surrounded by epo...

Re: weed sprayer water gun
Basically it's a larger Hydra Pak. If you can get one cheap enough it'd be worth it for what it is, but don't expect stellar performance.
