CPS 2000 MK1 - shoot only 10 feet

Post by hmkobe » Fri Jul 24, 2015 9:32 pm

I just found a CPS 2000 MK1 on sale at ebay, but it says it is shooting only 10 feet.

What do you think are the problems this gun may have? And do you think it can be fixed?

soakinator had one with a similar issue, their was debre in the nozzle inside the mesh, you would need to open the pull valve (not easy to reseal properly) to fix it.
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity. :oo:

The problem I had with another gun doing this was fixed when I moved the hole in the trigger where the wire goes back about half an inch. This made it much easier to open the pull valve and fire off a complete shot.

Thank you very much. I see, so the problem could be simply not opening the pull valve completely. This gun is not mine yet but I will try your repair if I can buy it. Thank you.

Wow, that CPS went for 355$ and it isn't even in good working condition? Holy smokes.

I've still got my MK1 sitting in my basement. I wonder how much I could get for it?

No, it was gone too expensive so I gave up.

Eh, it probably will float back up into the 200-250$ range. I'm still impressed with myself that I bought mine for under 200$ a few years ago.
