While the Hydro Cannon was an exciting release, it is really not that great of a blaster unless modified. Yet Hydro Cannons seem to commanding a pretty penny on eBay, and is selling for higher prices than many CPS blasters including the 1000, 1200, 2100, 2700, Splashzooka, 1-3-5, and seems to be on-par with the 1700 and 1500. Why are Hydro Cannons going for so much? What makes them so valuable, worth even more than many CPS blasters most would consider superior?

this painful fact for some is only true because most people do not recall the CPS line ever existing the hydro cannon is still relatively well known increasing demand vs the aging CPS line and available in much larger quantity.
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity.

Nerfers. Hydrocannons are popular as shitcannons - easy to convert with insanely high power. Few of them even know about older CPS. The explosive growth of the NIC has rewritten the values of many water guns. That, and price trends with collectibles typically don't make sense. Why were SS 100s going for $100? Why were CPS 4100s going for $160? Why do T-Strikes go as high as $40? Why do CPS 1200s and 1000s still only go for $30 or less? Same questions rise in Nerf, people will pay $70 for a stock LSK, but won't pay more than $20 for an already-modded 4B?
