Newb ? - Do Super Soakers have a rattle in the reservoir?

Post by Fig-Neutron » Thu Jul 10, 2014 8:17 pm

Hi, just wondering if Super Soakers [esp. CPS 2000 Mk2] should have a loose little square piece [metal or plastic] inside the reservoir, that rattles around when empty but is too big to come out. I'm assuming/hoping it's a low-water indicator. Thanks for reading, any responses appreciated. :cps2000:

You might have a broken cap tether. That piece in the reservoir is the stopper for the cap to make it more idiot-proof. (Prevent the cap from getting lost.)

If it's attached to the cap, then it's normal. If it's by itself down there, then you should remove it. Most CPS cap tethers can be pulled out if you wedge it in the opening at the right angle. If it still won't come out, take scissors and just cut the plastic bars off until it does.
