3.1 2005 SoakerTag Elite Flash Flood
The Super Soaker Flash Flood was released in 2005 by Hasbro Inc., and has the greatest output of any water blaster since 2005. It gained it's name from it's potent 'Flash Flood' riot blast nozzle.
 General Information
The Super Soaker Flash Flood is a cylindrical CPS based blaster produced originally, by Hasbro, under the 2005 SoakerTag Elite line of water blasters. It is renowned for being the first water blaster to have a seperate 'riot blast' nozzle, fed from the same CPS pressure chamber as the main nozzle, and operated from a second trigger. The 'Flash Flood' trigger is mounted on top of the blaster, and opens the riot nozzle when pulled backwards. Both nozzles on the Flash Flood use the Max-D ball valve system, made infamous by it's poor reliabilty. In theory, the Max-D ball valve is an excellent trigger system. The ball valve results in minimal restriction in flow compared to the previous pull valve systems, and the Max-D trigger system allows the user to open the ball valve quickly (and fully), allowing even the largest stream, with the shortest shot time, to reach it's maximum distance (hence Max-D). In practice, the system uses inadequate springs, which tended to break quickly, aswell as the characteristic Max-D 'click' when opening. This 'click' can be loud enough to give the user's position away, if they are on a covert operation.
