Wow...I'm so pathetic. I actually made an account to play the "Jean La Foote" game for a chance to win a hydroblitz.

Can't believe I didn';t think of that :goofy:

Any evidence that they're rereleasing any of the older CPSs?

Unfortunately, no. All of Hasbro's 2007 stuff looks new. Some of the guns are slightly modified versions of weapons from a couple of years ago. The only exiting thing this year is the hydroblitz.

Amazon.com just got a better pic of the hydroblitz!!! upon seeing a better pic, I think it supports my theory about the orange handle being the pump. but wut the heck is that orange nob on the bottom? methinks a new way of filling.

Good find! Can now also clearly see the trigger on the back handle, too. I wonder if the big lever acts as a pump/trigger... pull it back and then it ends up unleashing the big blast out the larger nozzle. Then again, the soaker is still missing a pump so the large lever may be the pump for everything. Much clearer pic, but still so many questions about how it works remains.

Heres my theory: the lever on the top is the pump. on the bottom is a little orange nob(if u luk closely) that serves as a nozzle selector toggle switch. And I believe the cylinder on the front with the supersoaker logo on it appears to be a secondary tank because the front of that cylinder appears to be a cap.

^That "cap" is screwed on. Only cap I see is the quick fill cap.

If the gun is indeed CPS, it would be hard to get any shape to fit in, yet the large looks like it would be too big to be powered by an air pressure system that uses an intake tube.

I still find a lever pump to be very bizzare, but considering it's shape and size, it very likely is the pump.

If the secondary tank with the logo on it is a CPS chamber (which it almost certainly is), wouldn't the screwed on cap make it incredibly easy to just screw it off and colossus mod the PC? :oo:

Knowing Hasbro, they probably glued it on or something

O no. the cps chamber would be behind the big nozzle if anywhere.

I guess this proves that my theory about the placement of the trigger and pump was right on the money.
And I'm highly convinced that the pressure chamber is a cylindrical CPS, due to the shape and location.
The Maple-Mountain-Marines.

Terrifying, but oddly refreshing.

The CPS chamber is cylindrical, below the nozzles. The trigger is clearly on the main grip, although I still disagree about the top handle.

I made tons, fishy, fishy1, fishy2, fishy3, etc right when I found that game (right after new years). I could only get a basketball hoop.

Dude that thing is huge......! This may well be the first Hasbro gun I am excited about. THe blue cyllinder seems way too big to be a standard air pressure PC, so the gun must be CPS. This gun seems like an XL version of the flash flood....A true water shotgun!

There's an Armor-Dillo from Buzz Bee, looks pretty neat with its adjustable nozzle. The bipod isn't necessary though, as it looks fairly small. But it looks decent...

The ArmorDillo is not a new soaker. It was released (though only in Canada) in 2004. See ArmorDillo Review

At this point what I am curious about would be nozzle sizes and PC size of the HydroBlitz. The pysical size seems like a CPS 1500, CPS 1-3-5, Monster 01/CPs 4100 at the most. Looking at the skinny dude on the SS comercial image, it doesn't come close to a Monster X/XL. Which makes me wonder the steep price. Then again, one can not do price versus performance comparison to the Old Larimi guns. The FF or 3A was the same price as the CPS 1000 or CPS 2100 as an example.
