I am looking for for a heavy gunning soaker on ebay and I have narrowed it down to 2 choices the cps 2500 and the cps 3200. I like the 2500's range but I also like the 3200's capacity and shot time witch one should I get.

What do you plan on using it for? 1HK or soakfest? The 2500 is the better 1HK weapon, the 3200 is the better soakfest weapon.

It can also depend on the length of your games and you skill level. If you are good then you won't use much water, and will appreciate the extra range that somes with the 2500. If you have really long games though (like marauder's vermin wars) or if you aren't as used to using tap shots, the 3200 might be better.

You could get the CPS 2500 - the more powerful option - and make a backpack for it.

Or you could get a 3200, and collosus it. Then you would have greater power, a bigger firing chamber, more nozzles, and more water than the 2500.

I don't collosus (infact i have not and dont plan on doing any internal mod's to my guns) and the backpack mod article is some what confusing because it does not require siponing.

I voted for the CPS 2500. It's one of the best soakers ever made.

My pick is the 3200. I think it's the best soaker ever made. Big CPS gun, capacity like no other, useful array of nozzles, relatively easy to pump. It would be absolutely perfect with Collosus and supercharge ability.

I personally don't like the 3200, mine leaks from the backpack connection, I can't sprint while wearing the backpack, and the range is a bad 40-45ft. Range in the lower-mid 40s is not good. But since that's your choice, I hope you do enjoy your 3200, it is still a good gun to have. :cool:

It might be bad to you but remember all your guns shoot at least 50ft and 45ft is alot better than my 2100's 35ft. I should also say i don't have the 3200 yet and the one on ebay right now will probably end up like the cps 2000 mk1 drasticaly over priced. I will get mine in the winter when demand for water guns goes down

I think the majority of CPS 3200 is 35-40 feet. I had 3 of them and all shooting under 40 feet. I also had 5 CPS 2500s and all of them where under 45 feet. If someone has a CPS 3200 that reaches 45 feet, then they have a good exeption and definatly overall better than the standard CPS 2500s out there that have the average of 40 feet. Exept for the CPS 2000 and max pumped SS300, no soaker has an average over 45 feet. Not that I know of.

isoaker.com has the best standard examples of distances, so to get a good idea what the most likely distance will be, thats where to look. isoaker, somehow you have a thing for picking always the average models. Not that many gifted freak models in your selection. :goofy:

So the cps 2500 does not shoot 50 feet. Well i must have been reading the wrong range stats there are isoaker's stats(witch are probably the correct stat's) and then there are people who say cps 1000's shoot 43ft cps 1500's shoot 45ft and cps 4100's shoot 40ft. Who can I trust for correct stat's now?

20x :: 10.0 m (32.81')
10x :: 12.0 m (39.37')
5x :: 11.0 m (36.09')

Thats the CPS 2500 distance from isoaker.com. Its not that the other ones are incorrect, but its that the ones that are much higher are exeptions to the rule and cant be use as a general statistik. If 9 out of 10 CPS 2500s shoot 38-45 feet and 1 shoots 50 feet, the chances for you to pick the 50 feet version is extremly slim, and that version is not the standard.
http://www.isoaker.com/ and http://aquanexus.cjb.net/ have the most standard stats. As a general rule, CPS 2100 shoots 35 feet, CPS 1500, CPS 1000, CPS 1200 and CPS 2500 shoot 40 feet. And thats the most comon stats among these models and thefore a standard. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

Looks like I am lucky with my two CPS 2500's. They shoot about 50 ft. My 3200 shoots about 42 ft from what I have seen using it. It just depends probably. I got a bonus. :cps2500:

You bet. I had/sold 3 CPS 3200s, none of them passing 35 feet and one not even 30 feet. 2 of them where brand new. So if someone buys a soaker, expect the worst and hope for the best.

I have had pretty mixed experiences on that. The second CPS 2500 I got (before the ones I have now), was really bad, it had problems that weren't mentioned. On to the range, it was below 40ft I can tell you. The CPS 1000 I have now that I snatched for a £5 BIN on eBay UK was a very lucky one. It shot between 40-45 ft. I could go on and on but I won't tell my life story! :goofy: So its just the luck of the draw. :p

I still like the 3200 whether it has bad range or not
