Cheap Vindicator Knockoffs!

Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, but I couldn't find the "new thread" button for the
section that I wanted to put this in.

What we have here is almost definitely a cheap copy of a Vindicator (or maybe an Equalizer) which I found at the dollar store. They had Renegades as well. Has anyone else seen a Buzz Bee water gun copy before?

It actually performs pretty well for a dollar store gun. I think it performs about as well as an XP 215, but it's bigger and leaks more. These copies are being produced by a company called H2O Blasters, by the way.

Speaking of dollar store guns, they also sell 24" syringe guns there, which I believe is a really good deal.

I would have posted this at SSC, but I havn't been able to access it all day.

EDIT: Darn it! These images need to be resized!

EDIT: I made them clickable so that you can view the full image.

EDIT: In the third picture, it's too fat. It's actually longer than that.

You'll also want to focus the camera (some have their own close-up auto focus modes) and hold it still when taking the pictures. An overall picture would've also helped depict the blaster better.

I usually don't bother with the dollar store stuff since most of it is oversized squirt guns, but the smaller ones are good cheap alternatives to the XP 215. A 2' syringe for $1 must be quite a good deal or an unreliable piece of junk. I'd guess it's the former since syringes are not that complex to make compared to other stuff.

Such syringes, if thin enough, could even be used as pumps for other blasters/homemades. I should really look into this...

Doh! That should be fixed now for this forum.

As for the pics, thanks for sharing them! These aren't the first BBT knock offs I've seen, but definitely do draw some styling from the Vindicator/Equalizer performance blasters. On one sense, one knows a company is doing well when others are trying to copy them. :goofy:

There is an overall picture. It's the third one.

By overall picture, I meant one that shows the entire blaster, not just the front.

They do, but you need to click on the above pictures to get to the whole image.

Ah, psh, I forgot this board cuts off images instead of resizes them... We ought to have it the other way around.

That's how you know your toys have made the big leagues - when others start infringing on your copyright. Well, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery...

By the way, should this be added to the Imitation Soakers gallary?

If it should, remember to make the picture longer because it's too short in the picture.

If this is going to be added to the gallery, you may want to take better-focused photos first. It's up to iSoaker to decide.

I think the overall photo is okay. It just needs to be made longer.
