Good lookin':
Monster line (duh)
CLASSIC LINE!! (Esp. 25, 40, 60/MDS)
Early XPs (150, 95, 105)
Early CPSs (1000, 2000/2500)

Bad Lookin:
Later XPs (220, 240), CPSs (2700, 2100) and Max-Ds (except 6000)
Dual-Levels (XP-215, Secret Strike, Liquidator, Flash Flood, Arctic Shock); it was okay at first, but at this point it's almost nausea-inducing
Guns that just scream gimmicks (Hydro Blade, XP-85 Triple Shot, Triple Charge, Triple Play, Triple Aggressor); I've noticed guns with "triple" in their names just tend to suck.

To each his own. There is no right or wrong answer, this is 100% opinion. For example, of the guns you listed above, I don't like the designs of all of them except the 2000. I especially don't like the Monster line design because I am a substance over style guy. Again, all up to individual opinions.

Come to think of it, I always thought it would be really cool to have an all white super soaker. Heck, any solid color would be pretty awesome. Especially on a full-sized CPS like a 4100.

You can. It's called spray paint. Sears. $3 a can.

But seriously, why don't people think of painting their own guns instead of wishing the manufacturer would use other colors? I've gotten the impression over my span here that the Community in general almost fears innovation and Tech. I mean, SM will be creating the first homemade, integrated, and modded gun reviews in a mainstream reviews section. Why has every site with reviews excluded such guns? We will be the first site to use modded, integrated, and homemade guns in Tactical Scenarios. These should not be firsts, they should have been done a long time ago. Now we are definately not the first to add Tech into a site gallery, but that will be the core of our pictures.

I'm just wondering why Tech has been poorly recognized, if at all, in these places?

Because these sites serve the general public, not the hard core types who will mod and create homemades, just to be able to drench the other guy from 70ft away . I believe that's the answer to your question.

Actually, modified soakers and homemades are excluded here since their performance and capabilities are more variable since it is dependant on the skill of the builder. In addition, there's also the liability issue for when building/modifying goes wrong (disclaimers have their limits when it comes to protecting the information provider; in some cases, even a disclaimer may not be enough to prevent liability). Lastly, for iSoaker.com at least, I'm still striving to promote water warfare to the widest possible audience. As such, it is still much simpler to have people try out decent stock soakers they can buy than to try to convince them to build a soaker from scratch.

I like the looks of my CPS 2000 (I own it) and the CPS 1000, which I don't own. Those are the only soakers that look cool, in my opinion. Every other soaker I have or will get is due to performance only.

CPS 1000, Piranha, Pre-Charger line, and the XP 310 look great.
