What's the difference between the Mk. 1 and Mk. 2, you ask?

Is the mk.1 more powerful? I think mine was the mk.2 and it was seriously evil. I mean, I could soak someone 50feet away(my dad, muhuhahahahaha). :laugh:

The Mk. 1 has higher output, longer shot time, and a bigger PC. The Range on either gun is virtually equivalent.

A PC is the abbreviated form of "pressure chamber". This is anything on the SS that holds pressure.

Personally, if I saw a 2000 mk. whatever at a yard sale for cheap, I'd pick it up. However, I would never spend more than fifty dollars on one (unless I won the lottery, but what are the chances of that?)

The Mk.1 Looks awesome. One question, how did they fit such a huge tank inside? I seem to remember the tank in the MK.2 went from the back of the gauge to the front of the gun? Did they jsut make the rubber PC smaller but keep the same size plastic bottle? They did that on the monsters.

There was a lot of dead space in the Mk. 2. There's plenty of room to fit a bigger PC. The dead space was probably where the PC was on a Mk. 1. To my knowledge, no one here has ever opened a Mk. 1. But prove me wrong, please.

If anyone has a broken MK.1 but the PC is still in working order I want to buy it. I will see if it fits in my monster X. If it could I would hav a CPS2000MK.2/Monster X hybrid, and a CPS2000MK.1/Monster X hybrid. And then I have a spare CPS2500 PC if I need it.

For those who want valume measurements on each pressure chamber, the 2000 Mk.1 has a volume of 900 ml vs. the Mk.2 which has a volume of 650 ml.

Nick:
1. Neither will fit in each others' guns
2. The PCs are epoxied on, you'd have to saw them off and re-cement them
3. Why would you want to ruin an already awesome gun? I'd do the CPS 2250 mod if I were you.

I was looking at the pictures and it seems the key to huge power in a water gun is a shorter pc in a cylinder type. I'll be working on a mod to shorten the pc after seeing this.

No it's not, the only thing is thickness (and type of rubber, but all PCs essentially are the same). What you are thinking of is capacity. And if you looked at the other parts of the site you would have found an article comparing the PCs of the 2000 and 2500, ultimately concluding that he 2000's was thicker.

The mk.1 has a large capacity because it's PC can expand more. On the longer mk.2 PC, it hits the end of the wall. In a homemade this won't matter.

Anyway, if you do a search at SSCentral you'll see that a while back I wanted to shorten a 2500's PC to give it more capacity. People said it was a bad idea because it would stretch more than it was supposed to, and a few other reason I can't remember. There also was XN's PC expansion mod, I wonder how large a PC could get with both of those mods...

Would they fit? My god that would be good if they did. Jesus. I may have to do that sometime. That is jsut plain evil, especially seeing as I have a homemade back pack. Nothing could stand up to that kinda gun at all.

O btw, I made a CPS2250 without realising what it was when I had a broken CPS2000 trigger but a working CPS2500. It was pretty awesome until the CPS2500 broke too.
