Sorry if I'm making a lot of topics but I was wondering if anyone else has seen or tested a Spider-man water cannon. It is not Super Soaker brand and is 15 dollars at Media Play. It says it shoots 30 feet but doesn't tell how much it holds. The funny thing is I look at the nozzle and it is tiny(maybe 2x).
I'll bet my first soaker was worse than yours.

Tiny nozzle... big cannon, but questionable power. It has undergone a few versions (i.e. used to be a Hulk Cannon of the same design/different colours).

However, never tried it, myself.

Not worth $30, IMHO. I wouldn't buy that thing. Doesn't have any use.

IMHO means In My Humble Opinion.

Don't bother getting it. Someone popped up here a few weeks ago (or was it at WaterWar.net) and said they had it and it sucked. I'd recommend you spend your $15 on a Pirahna instead.

Adding to that, Spiderman and the Hulk have absolutley nothing to do with water warfare. It's just a fast month-long attempt (during the movie's main run) to get some extra profits out of merchandise. Since superheroes have nothing to do with water warfare that means that the studios had nothing better than to milk more money out of our wallets.

I saw it at my local shops and it was $45! I was wandering whether it was worth it but now I know not to.

Even if it was a CPS soaker, I would still call $45 overpriced. Only the MXL had a regular price over $40 and the MXL is certainly a lot bigger than the Spiderman/Hulk cannon. Also, with the ceiling price of water weapons currently at $19.99 according to Big Bee, it makes you wonder why a water gun would be more than double that.

Yeh , but you live in America don't you. In Australia soakers are heaps more expensive. 1 AUD = 70 USC (roughly) Here you could maybe buy a MXL for about 80-100 AUD. In America that's about $45. So really it equals the same , but the store wants profit.

I don't get it. You say that 1 AUD = 70 USC. Then you say that 80-100 AUD = $45, which defineltely isn't in a ratio of 70 to 1. Does USC stand for something other than US dollars?

this board is not a currency exchange board... however, I know the euro is worth about twice (or just 1.5) as much as the dollar

Since that's in euros then it's definetely overpriced. USing the 1:1.5 ratio, the US$ price of the MXL where is you is over $75. Back to the topic, I'm sure that Marvel will release yet another Spiderman cannon when Spiderman 3 comes out in 2007.

The way I figured it was like this: The ratio of 1 to 1.5 means an increase of 50%. 50% of $55 is $27.5. $27.5 + $55=$82.5. That's several dollars more than $75. Now that I'm thinking about it, 82.5 is the average between $75 and $90, so we're both half-right.

We do NOT use the Euro in England! We use pounds sterling!

The rate of exchange is about 1.8 US Dollars to 1 Pound Sterling. That makes £55 = $99.
