I used to like track-mounted pumps, but now I prefer the plunger-style. I think its because my hands have gotten bigger and the tracked pumps seem too small now.

Hmm, tracked pumps don't seem any smaller than the plunger-style ones (of course that's because they're mostly used on bigger soakers).

EDIT: It's interesting how evenly stacked the votes are.

Hah, tie-breaker vote. I prefer the CPS2100, mainly because it totally outpreforms the CPS1200 in terms of preformance specs. Of course, the 1200 does have a strap and greater water capacity, but it has inferior range and output.

EDIT: Sorry for the triple post, there was a computer problem.

Actually, the CPS 1200 has great range. I've tested a yellow (2000 model) and silver/grey (2001 model) side by side and they both had about 10 or 11 metres of range, and that's only slightly less range than my 2100 has. As for output, the 1200 does have a little bit less output, but that means longer shot time.

I simply null-voted because while the 2100 has better durability and has a track-mounted pump, the 1200 has a larger reservior, larger PC, a shoulder strap, and is more of a classic. The 1000 should've been in this poll.

It's still inferior, and I like the general feel of the CPS2100 (I don't mean that you should, just saying that I do).

How is the CPS 1200 inferior? It's actually quite similar in performance to the 2100. The only real reason that I choose the 1200 over the 2100 is because it's more convenient to use while using water balloons, backup soakers, sidearms and other things, mainly because of it's shoulder strap. I actually have plenty of stores around me that stock CPS 2100s, but I am going to the trouble of getting 1200s shipped from stores on the other side of my state and/or other states because I like the convenience of the strap, longer shot time and larger reservoir. The 2100 is better in a few ways, but I still don't understand why you think that the 1200 is "inferior". In a way, it's like having a CPS 1700 and saying that the 1500 is inferior to it, even though they are very similar in performance.

In my actual opinion neither is better. I raised this topic to see other peoples opinon on which you think is better. I actually like the 2100 better but neither is better.:blues:

@Falcon: You said that the range and output of the CPS1200 is not that bad compared to the CPS2100. I'm saying that that may be true, but the CPS1200 is still inferior in terms of output, range, and durability, even if not in too great an amount.

Is that of any importance? It seems to verge on the edge of spamming.

Anyway, I never said the CPS2100 is better, I simply stated why I voted for it.

EDIT:
@Soakologist: Sorry, I was in a bad mood.

I couldn't have said it better myself, iSc. :goofy:

And the 1000? I'm telling you guys. Test them side by side. The 2100 really is just like a reincarnation of the 1000. Exact same stats. Saris.

ERRRRR.... Hyperion? You're accusing the ADMIN of SPAMMING his own board?! Not the best foot to get off on there, pal. ???

Yes, but the importance of it is obviously escaping you. :goofy:

I consider the two blasters pretty much having different strengths and weaknesses. Because of this, if I'm using one, I know how to make use of its strengths if confronted by another. This topic cannot even be objectively answered since the answer actually depends on a specific user's preference. You can compare stats, size, weight, colour, add-ons, etc., but just calling one "better" wouldn't have any real meaning.

Exodus' first post/reply in this thread said it all.

'nuff said.

Yes, we have yet to see two soakers released in direct competition to each other. If such an event ever occured in some year between the lineups of two soaker-producting companies, then we could have a more solid "which is better?" thread. Perhaps next year if Big Bee rolls out several soakers meant to be compared with some of Hasbro's Super Soakers.
