Why can we apply to jion the banned users group?

The topic name says it all and it's legit too, Just look at your user groups in profile for groups you are not in.
It's for when your consciousness gets the better of you and you decide that yeah, I am a jerk, and I do piss a lot of people off. Maybe this forum is better off without me.
In all seriousness, there is such as thing as Banned by Request, and I've seen people go that way before. I never really understood why, 'cause if you don't want to be part of the forum anymore, just stop logging in.
Oh yeah, and I'm thinking we should have a "User Feedback" type forum for threads like this. Good idea? It can be a sub of the News & Information forum. I'm pretty sure we had one at some point, but it may have gotten lost in the transition from iSn or something.
