Unfortunately, the shape and diameter of the mag openings prohibit it from being as effective as, uh... a water bottle.

Indeed!

Electronic blasters would suffer the same problems as PR reservoirs in terms of shooting angles, right?

Re: Re: iSoak'D 093: Creative Solution
Shooting angle limitation is ultimately dependent on the positioning of the intake tube and the shape of the reservoir/pressure chamber. For the Nerf Super Soaker motorized blasters, their generally taller reservoirs allows them to shoot longer at some angles. However, they cannot be held upside-down and fired since the intake tube would end up above the water line.marauder wrote:Electronic blasters would suffer the same problems as PR reservoirs in terms of shooting angles, right?

Apologies for inadvertently misusing my mod powers. The sudden change in not having a new thread for every new iSoak'd threw me off anyways.
Electric blasters are constrained by the blaster type. For example, the WW Scorpion has angle limitations when the electric pump is operating, but not while firing. (Since it's just a normal HydroPower blaster once pumped.) The stuff from Nerf SS are all direct pumps operated by the motors (small peristaltic [circular] pumps), so they draw from the reservoir/magazine directly to fire.
