When the neighborhood kids refuse to fight you since they know they will get owned.
When you give yourself last pick of guns at your B-Day party since you will win no matter what you use.
When even after every one else has picked at said party there are still dozens of midsized air pressure guns to chose from.
When you consider a Nerf Super Soaker commercial a funny YouTube video.
When you are considering trying to mod you favorite trucking simulator so that you can pull trailers full of WW guns to stores and trailers of NSS guns to the waste management facility. (I will let you all know when I do this, they say it is a pretty easy game to mod.)

Edit: I've started reading up on it and easy is a relative term. I probably can do it, but it is a matter of whether I will have the patience to do it. :D

Happens to me all the time.
Oncoming storm, the first one I found hilarious.
For me, here's one:
When your water bill jumps 30 bucks the month you get your first CPS. (Actually happened this month, my dad said I have to use the well water instead of the water from the company.)

When lunch time is spent Googling water guns
When you can obliterate the hose with just a WW Cricket
When you know how many gallons of water costs as much as a nerf dart (150 gallons by the way)
When you dream about water guns you don't own and haven't seen either
When you can quote water gun statistics
When friends want CPS 1200's for there birthday's
When you have more blasters than the rest of the nebrohood combined...
And it still doesn't satisfied you.
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity. :oo:

^When you dream about finding dozens of water gun models that don't even exist. Most of which I'd note, weren't even good lol (lots of PR).

When you go back to school shopping and you purchase a backpack based off what colors would look best with your XP Pool Pumper Blaster. mwahahaha. So I'll use this for both school and war. Speaking of which, I may end up caving and going with the trend and getting a solar shower. I wanted to use a slim backpack for my PPB, but I had to get one that I could use for school, and it's pretty big. Not sure yet.

You once carried a loaded XP 215 in your pocket for a whole week just cause you could
you have done a major mod to a poor gun (like my explorer) and made it useful

When you do water jug PT with ROTC and get excited because running 2 miles while passing heavy tanks of water back and forth to your teammates is actually highly conducive to becoming better at your favorite hobby.

...
When you take care to tap shot the windshield wiper fluid while driving in order to "conserve ammo".

I wonder how much wiper fluid is wasted "priming the internals". If I'm using it for the first time in hours, it needs time before it works.

Also when Frozen Fury day 2 happens. The only real tribute to the winter we just had.

When seeing Flood Force's Water Warriors ripoffs at a target instead of WW guns makes you livid.

(if I were buzz bee I would sue them for stealing the kiwi blaster XL, avenger, argon, and ixion designs line for line.)

Pretty hilarious, even more so because I've also experienced this. I hosted a CTF war at the woods on campus and people instantly grabbed up the SS 100, XP 150, XP 65, and XP 70. Then they said it was unfair after I annihilated the competition with my 2000 - which conveniently no one had chosen, along with my MXL and a few other CPS guns.

When you look at pictures from the winter and think "ah, soaker season" because Frozen Fury happens when it's cold outside. Then, you think wait, it's 75 out, this would actually be perfect for a battle.

Does anyone else ever feel like they play better in colder weather? Warm weather is definitely what I was raised on, but between Frozen Fury and various other smaller battles (even MOAB to an extent) I've kind of become accustomed to fighting in colder weather. I know, for some reason I was always better in soccer when it wasn't 80 degrees outside, because it felt so good that I was too relaxed.

When you look up whenever someone nearby says "CPS"
When you start laughing when your calculus teacher says "watch out for dx", and nobody else knows what's so funny (this is a true story; you see 'dx's all over the place in calculus)
When you throw up the "double 'W's" nearly every time someone takes a picture of you (I did it in a math team group photo today, haha)
When your ideal date involves water guns and white shirts
When your computer's name is CPS2700

I definitely like fighting in the cold better than the heat. I don't get as tired, sweaty, or dehydrated. I don't really like fighting when it's below freezing though, 'cause water guns tend to leak...all over your hands... My idea temperature is around 60F or so.

I think I've actually done this once.

Done this more than 5x, possibly greater than 10x

-When you plan to name your child so that he/she has the initials "CPS" (my last name begins with 'S', so I can do it, haha)
-When you evaluate practically every woods area (and some urban areas) you see as a potential battleground
-When you claim to like water guns, but in reality you hate almost every model except the best ones (it's like this with music too: once you start listening to a genre, you pretty much like any song in that genre, but after a while, you only like the best songs, and hate everything else)
-When you start to notice Japanese Knotweed groves
-When you've never worked on plumbing systems in your life, yet you know more about PVC pipes and fittings than some people who have
-When you make new friends and the first thing you think is, "Yes! More people to have water wars with!"

Basically, when water warfare trickles into everyday life, haha.

Sadly I've never done it. Closest thing was going swimming/wading in a creek, and she was wearing a blue shirt. Now that I think about it, that was actually a pretty awesome spot for a war. It's a public swimming area, but if you go downstream there's this old dam with an abandoned pump house or something. There are many short pine trees and cattail groves to hide in on each side of the creek. Only thing is, it's in Woodstock so you might run into a bunch of hippies doing drugs, haha. It's pretty close to Wilson State Park.
