Anyone up for trying to make a more life-sized water blaster replica out of Lego? Bonus points if someone actually manages to make a functional blaster. :goofy:

Oh, I don't have anything like that written under "Planned MOCs (next few years)" on my LEGO page, don't even bother looking there...

No promises on being functional (moving parts yes, but unless I suddenly get really good at making homemades, it wont shoot). The main problem with making a LEGO water gun that actually functions is giving it enough structural strength to hold together but still have enough room for water tanks, valves, etc. I need to make another battle with LEGO guys, I only ever made two and it has been a while.

That's an awesome picture. What kind of camera did you use? Also, your 2500's 20X is a lot better laminated than mine, haha (that explains why it only gets like 30 feet or whatever).

Wow! I always thought that phone-cameras were terrible. I know the camera on my brother's iPod Touch isn't that great. Yours takes much better pictures.

The camera on an iphone 4 is 5mp. The sensor is pretty small, but the quality is great. Many of the pics I post from wars or scouting trips are from my phone.

did you try drilling out the 20X nozzle on the nozzle selector? I did that. I like to fine tune my gun's nozzles so they get the most laminated streams possible.

The funny thing is, there's absolutely nothing obstructing the nozzle that I can see, yet it still blasts water in a sort of horizontal shape. It reminds me of a fan blast, just with a lot more water. The other two nozzles are fine, it's just that one.

I was at costco, and when I saw this... I didn't know whether to shake my head or to laugh. Someone do something with this photo.

Super soaker with telescopic sight. Because with 20 foot ranges, you really need it.

Someone called this out earlier: predicted the re-release of the Shot Blast with a scope. Anyone who knows the slightest thing about what Nerf SS has been doing and is honest will know that this comes as no surprise at all. Unfortunately, the mods required to turn this into anything useful (i.e. a working Nerf gun that can be used in a game) is not worth it IMO, although the NIC seems to think otherwise.

Classic Nerf SS move: Make a water blaster that's better for Nerfing than for water wars. Totally never saw that one coming. -__-

I think the impressive thing is that Nerf is managing to make water guns that are not better as Nerf guns when modded. That takes some serious fail right there.
