That metal rod connects the trigger for the stream to the flash flood ball valve.

Clever. I experimented with adding a roughly 5x nozzle to my Arctic Blast. It kind of worked, but the blaster had other faults (with the flood nozzle valve) so I could never really test it.

If I come across a Flash Flood, Arctic Blast, or Iron Man at a bargain price, I might try a similar thing, but with a new (and thus full working order) blaster, and try this trigger hookup too.

I can't imagine this working for the FF, as the flood valve is much higher.

It is still a cheaper alternative the the HC. You get a larger PC, a smaller gun, and it is cheaper. You can mod it much more effectively than the HC, because a PC expansion will not interfere w/ the reservoir.

Speaking of the HC you just have to put out the reservoir(not even a screw...) and connect the suck-pipe with an external backpack, easy thing^^ And there is so much space inside there!

not only am i noting you were redundant by saying cheaper twice, but the one thing the HC has over this is that it uses a standard ball valve, and not a max-breakage valve.

The larger ball valves are generally more reliable. As the WW guns show, normal ball valves can still break.
