Looking for Blasters
Looking for Blasters
I am new to this water gun thing. I was just wondering if anyone had a good working cps 1000. If so, PM me with the price. Thanks.

Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
I do, but i love it too much to sell it. I think. I may reconsider. Point is, it is a great gun and it is a smart choice if you are new.

I'd recommend looking around eBay, Craigslist, local friends, thrift stores, and/or garage sales at the same time, and to be content if you end up getting, say, a CPS 1200 instead. (It's just as good, if not better if you consider how well it can be k-modded.) The marketplace here doesn't get a whole lot of activity.

Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
Ebay has one right now but there are some Water Warriors Gorgons still available in some stores, combat testing proved it equal to CPS 1000's they run for about $15 right now which is less than 1000's tend to go for (if you add shipping) and can last much longer between refills.
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity.
Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
I have had a hard time finding any gorgons this year. A 1000 or 1200 is actually much easier to find. The only Gorgons online are like 80$ on Amazon.

Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
I found two on ebay one is 10 dollars and the other is 50. I know 50 isn't a good price. Would 10 be reasonable though?

Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
Yeah, definitely. I personally wouldn't pay more than $20 for one, so $10 is a good price.
I like 1000s and 1200s better than the Gorgon. You just can't beat that CPS punch that the streams have.

Wait until the last few minutes and toss in your max bid. Don't get suckered into a bidding war with 3 days left on that 1000. They tend not to be in high demand, but still.

Re: Looking for a Good Cps 1000
EBay has 2 XP 150's right now, one of the best all around guns ever made.
Edit that's 4 150's on ebay

Yes, an XP 150 and a 1000 are a great armoury on their own! Xp 150 is great for almost any part of a battle, and so is a 1000. Just do the one-click bid at the last second.

Personally, my shopping process consists of stumbling on whatever I'd like but don't have. There's a lot of great blasters out there.
Anyone have any good Guns under 100?
I just got 50 more dollars so i now have 100. I'm ready to buy a few guns. Does anyone have any recommendations or have a gun they want to sell?

Re: Looking for Blasters
I merged your new topic to this one and renamed the thread in order to keep things cleaner, since I felt the additional thread wasn't absolutely needed.
Anyway, these two links may help you out with ideas.

Can you give anything specific on what you're looking for? Features? Range/power/output requirements? Capacity?
There's a CPS 2100 on [url=http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40[/url], and if you skip all the garbage on there (i.e. Nerf SS products), you'll also find an overpriced pair of Max-D's, an expensive XP 150, a more reasonably priced XP 150 (but not cheap at all), and lots of others. It'd be worth having a look, although you won't really find anything great until the next page. (There's a CPS 2500 labled as a CPS 2250, not sure if this is a mistake or an integration.) You'll also find a pricey CPS 1000 that looks pretty fresh, along with an Arctic Blast.
Personally, I'd avoid the XP's and Max-D's unless they're cheap on eBay. You may find Max-D's in stores but probably not this year. I'd recommend Water Warriors air pressure blasters at that size/performance range, but you may not be interested in lower performing blasters.

Re: Looking for Blasters
Well, I was mainly looking for range and power. That was why I was going for the cps series. There is a cps 1000 for 10 dollars on ebay, but I have some money and don't know what to get.

Re: Looking for Blasters
I did see that 2500. I'm not a collector so I don't really care about stickers. Would that 2500 be a good deal for 60, or should I just go with a cps 1000 and another weapon. I also found a gorgon for 10 bucks too.

Please use the edit button on the post instead of posting twice in a row, unless you are trying to bring up an old thread with reason.
The CPS 2000 is your best bet on there, but if this is your first CPS blaster, you may want to, or have to, settle for something else.
As I mentioned on my guides, almost any CPS line blaster will do a good job for you, amongst others. I'd break up into groups of blasters. The point is, finding something specific may prove tricky, so it's better to group similar blasters and pick one you can find. Note that the list will not take into account modifications or other differences such as tracked vs. free pump.
Light and Fast: CPS 1000, 1200, 2100 (Reasonable shot time, medium capacity, quite lightweight, and easy to pump.)
Medium/Large, High Capacity: CPS 1500/1700, 2700 (Requires more pumping to fill large pressure chamber, but said chamber allows a LOT of water to be shot at a time. Both blasters are fairly high capacity too.)
Mid-size Cannons: Monster, Monster X, CPS 4100 (Larger, more powerful than the Light and Fast group. CPS 4100 and Monster are almost the same.)
Heavy-Hitter Cannons: CPS 2000, 2500 (Best range and output. More pumping than Light and Fast group, and low shot times. Not that heavy, but not as easy to carry as smaller/shorter blasters.)
Backpacks: CPS 3000, 3200, SS 300 (CPS backpack blasters are like cannons, but are slightly weaker with higher pressure chamber capacity.)
Where'd you find the Gorgon?
