Probably best for you might be a 1000-1500 area. A 1000, 1200, 2100, 1500, or 1700. Or a light air pressure like a XP 310 or 110. As much as I like the XP 105 (Mine gets 42 ft angled compared to 29 angled for others.), I don't recommend it. It does suffer serious pump lag (At least on mine) and the shot time and capacity aren't the greatest, either.
If a CPS 2500 is too heavy for you, you can't hold a 2000, 2700, 3000 or any of the Monster series, and it's probably not worth getting those till you get older. You could also try something from the SuperCharger series.
Speaking of superchargers, did you ever fix that powerpak? And did you ever get to finishing that PoP nozzle?

Your 105 seems very atypical Fishfan. I have owned 4 XP 105s, my cousin had one, and I've seen Scott's. Never seen one shoot that far. Not saying your wrong. That's impressive. Also never really seen/used one with pump lag. The pump is one of the best things about the 105. Unfortunately, as you said, it has hardly any field life or shot time.

I sold 2 XP 105s on ebay recently, but the buyer never paid. I have opened a case against him. If I do not receive payment in a week, when the case clears, I will also have 2 105s for sale. One is glow in the dark, the other is regular. The glow in the dark has a cool box.

I do not recommend a large CPS guns, simply due to your age and size. You could probably handle a 1500 or 1700 if you work hard at building up those arm muscles haha. That's as big as I would go.

Yes, no more than a CPS 1500/1700. On mine you can't unscrew the nozzle, but it's not the glow in the dark version. Also, the water seems to burst out of the nozzle. I do like it.

Don't worry; he's on my team. I'll have him whipped into shape in no time. "SOLIDER! 30 pushups, 15 chin-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 30 squats! That's an order!"

Anyway, welcome back (please sitck around this time!) Yes, I think a 1500 or 1700 is a good bet for a primary for you. Don't you have a 1500? I'd also recommend getting a Gorgon for an air-pressure weapon. At this point the only air-pressure gun I'd rather have would be a 300. See the duelfest thread to find out why... For light CPS rounds, either a 1000, 1200, or 2100 (unless it's a MK2) will suffice, though don't count out the Vindicator if you can find one. That's all you really need, unless you want a sidearm. I recommend the MD 4000 if you can find one (and if you can fix it when it breaks), otherwise, a Viper will do.

Man, I can't even do 30 pushups and 15 chin-ups. Or 50 sit ups (Though I used to be able to). I don't know what squats are.

Chin ups arent as important with what we do, but you definitely should be doing crunches... Which are like st ups but better.

I do a lot of sit ups. But how are they applicable to water wars?

Whoops, didn't mean to start a workout discussion, haha. But while I'm at it I might as well answer Fishfan's question: Squats are where you stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, lower your @$$ as if you're going to sit down on something, then straighten your legs to get back up into a standing position. Repeat this as many times as you can. Rest a 45-pound bar (with extra weights added) on your shoulders for added resistance. If you have trouble walking when you're done, you're doing it right. I think squats (or leg presses) are one of the best exercises for water wars, since they work out all your leg muscles. In my opinion, your legs are the most important muscles in water warfare (the stronger your legs are, the better you can run and dodge with a huge CPS gun).

Okay, let's get back on topic. I forgot to mention that if you can find a Defender, you should definitely get it. With a slight nozzle drill, they get what, over 40 feet? They're bigger than the 4000 and Viper, but I think they get better range, plus they have a seperate PC (and they also look awesome, but that's my opinion). Once again though, you should probably know how to fix a broken Max-D trigger.

In my opinion (just feel like saying it), you only really need three or four guns, unless you're supplying a team or something. If it were just me, I'd probably have nothing more than a 2000, 2500, 1500, and I guess a 2700 (as I've grown quite attached to them). Maybe one or two more, but not 40, haha.

This might be a good topic to raise the question of what kind of soaker rounds do you want to support in future community wars? As in, which classes do we want to have rounds for specifically?

In the past, we have distinguished rounds that allow primaries (anything goes), medium primaries (with restrictions on size or output), air pressure only (anything goes or with similar restrictions), and pistols (with restrictions on size). These types of rounds heavily influence what kinds of guns people choose to keep in their arsenals, so I think it is important to discuss.

Personally, I think we should have the following standard four:

. Primaries (Anything Goes)
. Medium Primaries
. Air Pressure Only (Anything AP Goes)
. Medium Air Pressure Only

I would drop pistol class rounds. I would have said drop medium AP only as well, but this week's duel tests showed that you can definitely have fun, intense battles with medium AP guns.

For such purposes, a "medium" primary would include the 1000/1200/2100/Flash Flood and down. Given the ranges and overall performance, I would include the Gorgon, Orca, Tiger Shark, XP 250, XXP 275, PPB, SS 200, etc in this class. While fairly large, they are definitely a cut below the things we would be using in primary rounds (2000, 2500, 1500, 2700, SS 300, etc).

A "medium" AP gun would be like the Colossus, XP 150, XP 310, MD 6000, Python, etc. Gorgons, XP 250s, XXP 275s, etc would not count here.

Standardizing these things would help lots of the frequent posters plan their arsenals and keep soakers relevant beyond the usual top level primaries. That's one thing I really like about the community wars thus far, we have created reasons to keep medium CPS and medium AP guns that would ordinarily not get used often.

You definitely need to have guns that would keep you competitive at community wars, but I would also look beyond that. It sounds like you have a lot of neighborhood battles as well. What guns would fit those fights? Lastly, what guns look and feel good to you?

I will provide an example for the last question. I think the CPS 2700 is a great gun and I would love to have one on my team, but I would never use it. There's a reason I sold mine immediately after buying it. It didn't fit me. On the other hand, I am probably the only one on this board who enjoys using the Monster XL. But you know what? It's MY arsenal and I like using it, so I have a Monster XL.

If you look on my profile, you can see my wishlist. As you can tell, I do want to be able to supply a whole team. The only problem is, finding people for the team, and finding competition.

For the price my Gorgon was a good buy, if you can find one get it. For anything goes rounds I agree that you should get something like a CPS 1500 those two guns can play in all the blaster restrictions that were listed by DX and perform very well.
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity. :oo:

XP Pool Pumper Blaster. 4 PCs give it huge potential when you optimize the nozzle and rig up a backpack. Pretty rare model, though.
