Yeah I know how rare this is, but they are out there, and if anyone has one, they are on this forum bragging about it.
So I am listing this with the proof in the attached picture to possibly tempt anyone here who owns one.
Obviously the deal would be done through ebay, you can set the $1600 buy it now price and I'll "buy it now"
I am not a collector,I am simply a young adult who once owned this glorious soaker when I was a kid. In fact I remember begging my mom to take me to the toy store to pick it up right after I saw the TV commercial for it.. I been checking ebay almost everyday for a year and no luck.
I'm not interested in a used one. I retired from the water wars in 2001 when I sold my CPS 2000 MK1 at a yardsale for $10 as I was saving up for a $80 airsoft pistol (YEAH I KNOW )
So I'm seeking out a trophy instead, one I can proudly display on my mantle for the years to come. Something I can be reminded of all the amazing water wars I had when I was a youngster in the 90s
I am offering $1600 to ANYONE who has one.

It's possible one of us here has one. The problem is, most of us at WWn buy water blasters to use rather than to keep boxed, so you're unlikely to find one boxed here. If I find one, I'll post a link here and e-mail you the link aswell.
I won't say that no-one here does have one, it's just unlikely. There are the occasional un-boxed Mk1's on ebay (like this one wrongly advertised as a Mk 2 ), and I'm sure I saw a boxed one a few years back (as you say, they are out there!).

Like Andrew said, I doubt you will find somebody with one new in the box since we use our soakers in combat. Good luck, though!

Well anyone who actually had one in the past 8 years or so wouldn't open it, they'd just buy a used one and use that in warfare

They bought it BNIB, but took it out of the box for testing (they compare the capabilities of the two further down the page). Even if they hadn't used it since then (possible but very unlikely, after all what else are you going to do with it once you've taken it out of the box and fired it a few times?), it isn't technically BNIB anymore.
If you still want to find out who posted it (I understand you have few leads at the minute) you could. PM isoaker. It was about ten years ago, but there might be some record of who posted the article. Failing that he may know someone who might own a BNIB 2k.

It all depends, however I REALLY want the box.. even if was removed.. it won't kill me.. Like I said its mainly for my own personal enjoyment looking at it in the box..
My $1600 really is for a BNIB though.. I think I would pay $500 just for the BOX (if near mint), and another $500 for a near mint unit, and just be happy with that.
Thanks for the advice I'll keep poking away, like I said this is obviously going to take a while.. everyone in life has that 1 childhood toy. this one is mine.
