Your Best Buy ever

Post by the oncoming storm » Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:11 pm

Years ago I bought a bottle blast thinking it the "ultament weppon" (what a noob). My glooting doomed me and 2 weeks later a the kid we babysat's mom brought my sister what is now my 1200 still in the box after a few battles she deamed it to heavy and "gave!" it to me.

what is your best Buy ?

My best "buy" would have to be the Optimus Prime/Secret Strike I got at Wal Mart for $2.74. I have never used it in battle myself... but I loaned it out a lot to people I was fighting against hahaha.

I would say purchasing my friends Pulse Master for 1 dollar would be my best buy, but he has to find it before I can physically own it.

At a sidewalk garage sale, I purchased a fully working Super Soaker Monster XL (original version) for a whopping $2.00. Was a little dirty (some mud splatter on it), but was rinsed off and ready for action after a couple of minutes of rinsing.

No longer have it, though. While I could've made a great profit selling it on eBay, I opted to give it to a good friend of mine.

^ What a steal! A city close to mine is having a town-wide grage sale soon, so hopefully I can get a deal like that!

I got my CPS 2700 for $15 off a Craigslist deal, though it's no MXL for $2...

In 2004 I walked into Sports Authority and bought 6 CPS 2100s for $7.50 each and two Monster Xs for $12.00 each.

I'm impressed that they still had Monster Xs for sale in 2004. A lot of guys on my team bought CPS 4100s for $12 at Target that year. What ever happened to your MXs? I know you have several 21ks.

Two SS 50s at a yard sale for $10. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be working anymore... I also brought 11 soakers in one purchase for around $60...? A lot of them were Hasbro junk, but my CPS 2700 came with them, along with my XP 270, and an XP 310 that arrived with it's reservoir cracked off. Not realizing how easily I could have replaced it, I threw it out, and I've been kicking myself ever since.

Hmm, the best blaster I ever bought would have been a Steady Stream I got for $5 at the local grocery store (really psyched for summer to see what deals come this year). But the best "buy" ever, though you really can't call it that, would be a tie between my CPS 3200 which I found in a trash can, and my SS 100 and XXP 275 which I "liberated" from my uncles country vacation house.* All three needed minor repair work, nothing that I hot glue gun couldn't fix, but other then the 3200 which is shotgunned, faded, and leaks a little, are in good shape.

*Don't think of me bad for this, they never used them and they just laid around and got steeped on by one of his drunken relatives. I wasn't going to return them after they were fixed just so they could get broken again.

Not as good as this but for sure ok: Bought a CPS 3000 NEW in BOX(even Box quite new, unopened) for 25 Dollars :)

Hm, yea there is something :) I got a Monster X as present, which was stated as "broken". There was only a waterballoon inside the reservoir, blocking the water-flow into the gun. Repaired in 1 minute.. :goofy: So did not pay ANYTHING :D

Best buy I ever made was the lot of guns i scored from a friend.

So he decided that he needed more garage space, and was just going to get rid of most of his stuff. I spied a box of guns in the back, and just offered him $5 for the entire thing. He said $10, and showed me the second box.
$10 gets you:
CPS 2100
CPS 1000
CPS 1200
CPS 1-3-5 (Not proud of this)
Max-D 6000
Storm 750 x2
Storm 800
And this odd knockoff backpack gun sort of deal.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
