I had particular reasons for going soaker shopping today, but won't bring those up until I verify a few more things (yup, vague, I know, but if it works out, I believe you guys will be interested. :goofy)

At any rate, picked up a Water Warriors Xenon, a 4-pack o' Kwik Grips and a Stinger from Walmart as well as a Hydra Pak, 5th Dimension, and a new Piranha from Toys'R'Us.

I plan on doing a full review for the Xenon, but am still debating regarding the new Piranha (with a better set of well-differentiated nozzles compared to the original. Thanks, Big Bee!) The Kwik Grips and 5th Dimension are trigger-pump-type little water guns that deserve pics, but don't feel like opening to do a full review as most here would likely just pass them by and I mainly got for personal collection purposes.

I went out to examine Mount Tiki-Soki. They had a whole mountain of them at TRU.

Examine or get? Don't tell me I've gotten a Super Soaker product before you! :goofy:

Mt. Tiki Soki's are funny things. Sure, they're meant for kids who like running through sprinklers, but the fact the thing using a pressure-based trigger on a CPS-bladder makes things more interesting to me from a technical point (though the mechanism is probably pretty simple, it may be an interesting thing to toy with a bit).

I can't find any of the old CPS cannons of yore this season. Zip, zilch, nada, as is said.

Last summer, area TRU water gun displays were 3X the size they are this year, usually with more old stuff than current.

Actually, at the TRU I went to, they still have CPS4100s on sale. Perhaps not as 'yore' as some of the more potent products before, but still a bigger beast than what is available if only choosing from the new releases this year.

On the bright side, new CPS-based soakers are back on the market. I just hope things continue to improve after the CPS-drought in the past couple of years.

Last time I saw 4100's in my area was at TRU during post holiday sales. Strangely enough, they were still listed at $20. Certainly other stores would still have some, as Isoaker indicated. BTW, this was the same time I picked up all the leftover 2100 and 2700's as well.

I don't recall the exact price, but I'd guestimate they were selling for ~$29.99 Cdn. The 2005 Piranhas sold for $14.99!

That is very interesting. A few days go, I went to a Toys R Us ( living in Ohio, it only had some of the new blasters) and Wal-Mart (with only stinky blasters, not Stink Blasters, but not very good blasters). The list of what they had was as follows: Wal Mart had Liquidator, Vaporizer, WW Gremlin, Arctic Shock. Toys R Us had Flash Flood, Arctic Shock, Piranha, WW Gremlin, The 3 Shield Blasters (as I call them ) and one more that I forget it's name. I'd sure like to visit Canada, if that's what they sell.

There's plenty of CPS4100s in the US as well. They're not old ones lying around. The new 2005 year 4100s have SoakerTagElite tags and advertise guns such as Liquidator and Triple Aggressor advertised on the side.

Today I went with my buddy to buy a water gun because he didnt have one. So I brought money just in case.

We went to zellers (canada) and they had:
Max D 3000 ($15)
Flash Floods ($30)
Arctic Shocks ($22)
APD ($40)
A bunch of six flags guns ($5 - $25)
Liquidator ($15)
Vaporizer ($7)
Shield Blaster ($25)
Water Warriors Xenon ($22)

And a lot more.
He picked up a vaporizer and I picked up a liquidator and we fought today... it was definitely worth it :p
People come dressed in all clothes to my games... but when they are done the come out wearing a towel with their clothes soaked.

The motto of the story... If your not on on my team and your staring at the nozzle on my gun.... your probably already soaked.

Why has noone told me this before... I need another (or 50 more) 4100 so I can have a decent water battle with more than 4 people.

Yeah, Target has piles. What do you use 10 of them for?
