Downsizing armoury: many soakers for sale

Post by Spinner » Wed Nov 02, 2016 9:17 am

Greetings, fellow soakists,

It's been a while. Not sure how many are still here from the SSC days (and before). Hope everything's ticking along well.

I've decided it's time to downsize my armoury. I can't justify keeping upwards of 60 blasters, considering the limited opportunities I get to use them. Time to scale back to a few select blasters (probably my '98s and a small number of XPs) and free up some space.

A few things to note beforehand:

First of all, I'm based in the UK. Normally this would make buying less enticing to overseas buyers, but with sterling so weak against the dollar at the moment (and the euro), overseas buyers may find it much more of an attractive proposition than usual.

Secondly, you'll notice there are no prices. This is because I have no fixed figures in mind for each blaster. I'm not looking for a quick sale, and can easily afford to wait until next summer if the offers aren't high enough. I'm unwilling to let them go for less than I paid for them, if at all possible.

Thirdly, please make your offers in pound sterling, not dollars, euros, yen, or anything else. You can use online currency conversion calculators.

Fourthly, please make your own rough shipping-cost estimates and have them in mind when making any offers. Without wishing to sound unhelpful, I don't have the time to package up soakers for speculative offers. As a very rough guide, a CPS 1500 would probably cost around £25 to send to the USA, around £10 to send to Germany, and around £6 to the UK. You can find approximate weights on iSoaker.com to use when calculating the probable shipping cost. Parcel2Go tends to have decent prices, but I'm willing to use an alternative shipping service if you find a cheaper one. Since soakers are so bulky, it might make sense to buy more than one at a time.

Fifthly, on the point of trust (since many will likely not remember me): I was an SSCentral admin for several years, so I hope that counts for something.

On to the soakers!

First up: new soakers still in their original packaging. A few rarities here. Pictures available if they're of serious interest.

Wow. So many good guns. I am glad that you are willing to wait because there are a number of blasters I am looking at purchasing in the future. I have the money now, but need to put that towards other things. Some of these may also make good Christmas or later birthday gifts for my nephews.

BTW that is a version of the XP 75 that I've never seen before. What is it?

Oooh, I want that '02 Monster X. I will have to wait until I have some extra money laying around though. Everyone else stay away! :p

I've seen your old posts, but I'm not sure you were ever active during my time here. It's always nice when a community veteran pops in. That is one of the most impressive arsenals I've ever seen by the way.

I did some testing with modding Nick's Monster X and boosted the range to 2500 levels. If you get it I could help you out.

@m4: Good to hear from you. Hope you're keeping well. The XP 75 is a rare Action Man branded version - I don't think there's any performance difference with the regular XP 75, but I can't recall exactly.

@SEAL: Thanks! I think you're right - I don't think we overlapped while I was actively posting, but I remember seeing you around.

Hello Chris - yes, most of the ones on the list without a strikethrough (including the XXP 275 and XP 250) are still available. Send me a private message about any you're interested in, please.

That was the yellow one at the bottom left corner of the image. I'm afraid I've sold that one now to one of my friends (though if it's of great interest I could always ask him if he wants to sell it).

Ok.You can ask him about the cost, and if you can tell me the size of that blaster(i am a big blaster boy) .I have seen that you sold that 2002 Monster X. Do you know someone who has it and want to sell it ? Or Storm water guns like 2100 or 3000 ? Oh, i forgot about Storm 810E(the price for it)?
I am sorry for so many questions :) .

@Pyromaniac-X That yellow Storm gun is pretty small so I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for (you should be able to compare it to others in that image for an idea of size). The Monster X was sold a long while back and not to anyone that I can easily contact, sorry. I don't know of the Storm 2100/3000: did you mean CPS 2100/3000?

Probably best if we take this discussion to PMs.

@sparky Sorry, only just seen this. I think the list in the original post is more or less up to date as regards what's still available. PM me if you're interested in anything in particular.
