Another consept

Post by the oncoming storm » Fri Jul 12, 2013 10:02 am

With nothing better to do, I was thinking about mass (100+ people) city park soakfests, and costumes. during this time I devised a concept for the "Shadow Strike Longbow" Nothing special just a PVC bow with a pump added, nuf said.

.
It would be more user friendly and cheaper than most homemades (About $30)

Stats (Estimated)
height 5', width 2" length 22" (pump retracted)
Range 55'
shot time 0.25 seconds
pump volume 6oz
capasity 100oz (In a backpack)
Draw weight 30lbs
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity. :oo:

I've thought about this a few times, but the problem is the same as a spring homemade- getting the piston to seal. Also, I could see the backpack getting in the way of a smooth draw, not to mention the tubing.

I am getting better at making pumps so that's not a problem, the draw issue could be fixed by moving the intake tube off to the side a bit.
