Alright, now I have a few questions. I have a CPS 1000 with an 80 balloon k-mod, and don't know what I should do. I'm going to either:

A) CVF the 1000, and hope the internals hold. I might have to reinforce them.

B) Swap the PC into my 2100, CVF it, and hope the internals hold. I still might reinforce them if they don't hold.

C) Do B, and add another 20 Balloons just to have 100 on there. It can't hurt that much, right? I will definetly reinforce then. :p

Which should I do?

Remove about 30 of those balloons. Then do a check valve freeze. Theres a point where putting on more balloons doesn't really help increase range. Reinforcing the internals is probably not necessary no matter what you do.

I'm not going to use it as a main gun. Sorry about not posting this earlier. I'm going to use it as a backup (needs to reach full pressure fast) and for sniping. With 100 balloons, it will reach high pressure fast, (no room to fill) which is what I want because my new main gun is going to be a CPS 2000, which doesn't pump up that fast. I want to use it for sniping too, and you don't need shot time to put a splotch of water on somebody. Basically, I don't really need much PC capacity for what I'm going to use it for, and I might make the PC case larger anyway. Remember King Soaker, and how he heated the PC case to make it expand? I'm going to try that, but I'm going to use less heat. That way, I will still be able to bend it a little, but the case won't bubble and look funny like his.

If I were to do C, would the internals explode without reinforcement? Either way, I'm going to cover the valves, and put a light coat over the pipes.

I doubt it would make the internals explode. If you're check valve freezing you should keep an eye on the holes.

Okay then. I'm just nervous about my soakers. My parents still don't like me modding them. If one breaks, they think it's because I don't know what I'm doing, and I'm throwing my money away. The only time I broke a gun was when I was fooling around with my 1-3-5, and the only reason it doesn't work is because I was forced to cut off the trigger valve after a series of accidents.

Don't be worried. From what I've read, the CPS 1000 reacts well to K-modding. The only water gun I would avoid K-modding without a firing valve replacement would be the CPS 2700.

I'd agree with Nibordude on the balloons and would suggest removing more (50 - 60 is my personal preference, others vary obviously). Also try the multi-nozzle modification to give your CPS 1000 more than one nozzle option.

My CPS10k has 75 baloons. CVF is a must with that much baloons. The CPS1000 is probably the best for K-Mods. Still holds prity well, so very durable. Its only pressurizing that will take some time since the pump will be much harder to pump.

I had the CPS 1000 at 60 without needing to do a CVF, and I liked it a lot. Well, I'm going to make it 100, but only because I'm making the PC larger. I'm hoping I can make it hold as much water as a 60 balloon k-mod, but with more kick. That way, I can still get a little bit of my shot time back.

Here is what I'm going to do now.

CPS 2100: Turning onto a 100 balloon 10210, with a CVF and a multi-nozzle mod.
CPS 1000: Turning into a 35 Balloon 21100 (had 35 balloons on PC already) , no other mods. It should act only slightly stronger than a stock CPS 1000, because the stock PC of a CPS 1000 is as strong as a 25-30 balloon k-modded 2100s PC.
