Flamethrower (No not what your thinking)

Post by teamfear » Sun May 31, 2009 12:43 pm

I know people use water guns as flamethrowers but if you got your hands on a flamethrower I bet you could fill it with water. I know they use gas not air as pressure but they shoot really far and have a very long shot-time. Has anyone here made a water gun using Co2 or other gases? I know there is a link to one on SS Central but it does not describe it.

SuperCAP uses compressed air to force water through the nozzle. It's plain old air though.

Using a liquefied gas like carbon dioxide would be more space-efficient, but you can't use PVC anywhere – as gas vaporizes (going from liquid to air), it absorbs heat and chills the entire structure down, which is bad for PVC. Not that you'd want to use PVC at those pressures, anyway. :oo:

But if I used copper pipe or even got my hands on a real flamethrower It would be possible to make a Co2 water gun, right?
